Did not know this place was still in business, it was on the verge of being shut down when I was there around 2015. I was there recovering from a septic infection and surgery of a knee replacement. There were elderly woman who was frequently standing in her doorway naked and confused and they said she keeps taking her clothes off...she should have been moved to a higher care area. I came across one gentleman, who fell asleep in his wheelchair and had wet himself, sitting alone in the dining room in a puddle of urine. I was told that if you didn''t wheel yourself around in a wheelchair, you stayed in your room cause noone was pushing you around. There were 6 beds to a bathroom, 3 beds to a room on each side divided only by a curtain. My pain meds were not given to me until I went into withdrawl and had a seizure, suspect staff was taking them but no proof. They had one nurse to entire floor, approx. 60 people, barely had time to give all meds during her entire shift. The entire building smelled like cooked cabbage all the time, as cabbage and hotdogs were staple meals, most meals were unpleasant to say the least. The activities offered there were typically kindergarten aged projects and the ladies running them would get irritable if you did not want to participate. The physical therapists tried to work with so many people at once, I saw multiple people nearly fall, including myself. No one on one care, that they were probably being paid for. Very disappointing that the state allowed them to stay in business! beware of any place you use for rehab unless you or your family check them out personally!
Read moreGreat facility along with great nurses! So nice I might go back to just stay for a few nights. The guy that admits people and checks their insurance is just fabulous! Our tire was flat when we were walking out and he just came running out and changed it for us in the rain!

My mother came to Fenton Healthcare skilled nursing facility nearly a year ago after a medical emergency left her physically unable to care for herself. It has been very difficult for my mother to cope with these life altering circumstances and the staff here has been so instrumental in helping my mother regain her strength and feel comfortable so far from home. Some of the nurses, aides, life enrichment staff, physical therapists, and others from custodians to Secretaries have gone above and beyond to help my mother and myself navigate and cope with the difficulties of having a family member in long term care. Though it took time, my mother has made many friends with the staff here. Some she loves. I am thankful to those who really took the extra time to make my mother feel heard when she was upset and developed an actual enriching, friendship with her. Great physical therapy keeps her moving and improving and helped to her to gain some more mobility and their encouragement helps keep my mother motivated to keep going. We are so thankful.
