My mother thrived here! She was sent to hospice and survived for 5 months. The staff treated her like she was their grandmother. They came in and talked to her. They fed her when she couldn''t eat on her own. She liked them--they liked her. It was beautiful. Every time I came to visit (at various times, unannounced), my mother was clean. Her diapers were changed regularly. I''ve seen the staff interact with other residents. They were so nice. These people are in this field because they care. I thank God for these folks who did a tremendous job of keeping Mary J comfortable. The owner, Leslie, was always helpful. We never had any issues. Anytime I had a question, she responded promptly. I was always impressed. It''s a small home; that''s why they can be more attentive to their patients. I was in a crisis situation when I chose this place. I had every intention of moving my mother. After assessing the pros and cons, the level of care she received surpassed any inconvenience of my traveling to the city. After telling my mother about moving, I found that she absolutely did not want to leave Esther''s. Thank you so much to the dedicated people who work here. I never worried about my mother''s care.

My Mother was a resident of two Esther''s Place Buildings for four years. She had previously resided in a National company''s facility. They were unable to care for her properly due to staffing shortfalls and escalating fees. Esther''s Place puts most of its resources into direct patient care rather than Real Estate improvements and amenities. Resident fees go into staffing and employees rather than paint, artwork, and aesthetics. Pretty pictures will not help your loved one get to the bathroom, but proper staff will. Esther''s Place keeps the place clean and tidy without the glamour others offer and they take care of job one, the resident''s needs. Esther''s Place is also far more affordable than others. Thank you for taking such great care of my Mom in her final years.

With the exception of 1 person the staff was great. There is not enough staff to properly care for clients nor to clean the place. The facility structure itself is not suitable, does not make sense for a senior care center. Someone that cares should seriously reevaluate this place for it's current use. I personally would have to be totally with no other choice to be a resident.

I chose Esther's Place because I went and talked to her and she took the time during covid to talk to me outside for 2 hours and answered all my questions and made me feel at ease and confident that he would be well taken care of here. They were great with communication for the short time that my husband was here. It is a very homey setting and I would recommend to others looking.

My Mom loved it and made new friends.
