My Mother has been at Ellen''s Home South for almost half a year. It''s very homey and doesn''t feel institutional at all! I love that it''s not too big and has lovely sitting areas and fireplaces, and even an outdoor area. She is receiving three delicious meals a day and is eating very well. She re...
My Mother has been at Ellen''s Home South for almost half a year. It''s very homey and doesn''t feel institutional at all! I love that it''s not too big and has lovely sitting areas and fireplaces, and even an outdoor area. She is receiving three delicious meals a day and is eating very well. She really enjoys the ladies at her table. Her room is bright and clean. They have fun activities, for example, today they had an exercise class and frisbee golf and the other day they had a dice game. But the best part about Ellen''s home is their staff! They are caring and attentive. I was speaking with one of the staff and she told me how she really considers this her ministry, and it shows! The managers, Maressa and Erin, are very helpful and responsive. And as a bonus, they were much more reasonably priced than any of the other places that we considered. We are so glad that we chose Ellen''s Home South!

We are choosing Ellen's Home of Germantown South for my husband because it seemed like a good fit for him. It was more sparsely populated and there was more room for him since people weren't right on top of each other. The place was very neat and the rooms were nice-sized. They had a bird aviary there, which was very interesting. It just looked like things were under control. No locks on the door, which was something different but necessary for some. The staff was very helpful and informative. Overall, it was a very good tour experience. It just felt right.
