New update as of April 2024- Still extremely dissatisfied. This establishment falls far short of the glamorous image portrayed on social media. The activities seem more suited for children, and the food quality is far from deserving a five-star rating. The activity manager Allison lacks initiative, enthusiasm, often seen sitting on her bum chatting with peers VS doing her job. Lacks that spark in personality to engage residents and fails to plan or execute activities effectively. The chef and food runners often displays unprofessional behavior by reacting rudely and defensively when residents provide feedback on the poor taste of the food or return a dish that is cold or inedible. Original review December 2023 I waited almost 6 months to post a honest thought out review. The new owners took over 7/1 and while there have been many bumps along the way, many “duped/deceived” situations, many honorable staff members have resigned which were the staple of the community for a very long time and was very disheartening to many families to see Matthew, Dan, Heather, and nurse Carl resign, there absences in the building are very much felt and noticed. I think my honest opinion of Retirement unlimited aka Elance at boynton beach is still very murky and not clear. There was rate increase when they took over, despite being told they would not increase and would honor previous agreements (they went back on their word) and NOW the upcoming year increase is a bit steep when really the only thing that has improved is activities has slightly improved with a few more variables of things to do, everything else has remained very mediocre and very much below standards for what we are being charged. This new company prides itself on luxurious living and fine dining but our parents are being served pasta and sauce (not even any meat in the spaghetti) frozen burgers, hot dogs, frozen chicken tenders and pizza. That is completely bizarre to me. The staff is 50/50 some days they are good but most days they seem very overwhelmed or very laxed on caring for the residents, there isn’t a urgency to tend to folks properly, they always seem angry and present with attitudes when spoken to. Gone are the days of weekly and monthly communication, you only hear from someone when you track them down after many unanswered messages or there was something bad that happened that they need to report to you. My feelings are still very mixed about this company, it seems there is a lot of “duped communication” (dishonesty) and quite a bit of slipping issues under the rug and turning the cheek to very much real issues because there is no REAL oversight or accountability there since the executive administrator resigned.

Now that my mother has transitioned to a more suitable environment, I must candidly share our ordeal at what we found to be a deeply disappointing residency. Our time there was marred by a series of disheartening events, including encountering staff members like Dominique Cordero, whose dismissal for questionable work ethics sadly occurred only after our departure. The transition from Sunrise to Elance marked a stark decline, with a distressing turnover of four executive directors within a mere six months, one of whom faced criminal charges related to exploiting the elderly. This unsettling pattern reflected poorly on Elance''s leadership choices and overall management practices. The substandard quality of offerings extended beyond personnel issues to encompass aspects like consistently subpar and cold meals, as well as lackluster activities that failed to engage residents satisfactorily. Despite my mother''s reluctance to voice her dissatisfaction directly, she often confided in me, expressing a preference for solitude over enduring the dismal "activities" on offer. The exorbitant pricing structure further compounded our dismay, with a staggering additional $2,800 monthly charge for a basic service like assistance with showering three times a week feeling more like exploitation than fair pricing. Notably, the departure of key community pillars like Heather and Daniel shortly after the Elance rebranding served as a clear indication of deeper issues at play. Recognizing the value these dedicated individuals brought to the community, their resignations served as a pivotal moment that propelled our swift decision to relocate my mother elsewhere. Since her move to a new community, the contrast has been strikingly positive, with seamless experiences and a genuine sense of well-being prevailing. In conclusion, the profound relief and contentment we now experience at the current community stand as a testament to the importance of choosing a residence that truly values its residents'' welfare and fosters a culture of genuine care and respect. The stark disparity between our past ordeal and present tranquility underscores the critical role of competent leadership, compassionate staff, and a commitment to providing exceptional care in senior living communities.
Read moreBeautiful community with kind, caring staff. We are very impressed with the cleanliness and attention to detail as well. A great place for your loved ones!
This is a beautiful community that is very clean. The staff have been great with my father in law. The leadership team is very responsive and have been so supportive to our family as we transition my father in law into assisted living.
Since changing to new ownership and management, the building is ran poorly. The quality of care has declined and the quality of workers with morals and ethics has been seriously compromised.
This is a beautiful, CLEAN facility where the staff truly cares about your family member. Every time I walk in I''m greeted with a smile and the staff is always willing to answer my questions and go above and beyond to ensure my grandma is happy.
