After looking at several places over a few months we chose Drumlin Reserve over all others not only for its location and beautiful property but for the staff and amazing residents that reside here. Moms apt looks out the back and its simply stunning with the landscape and wildlife that is so abundan...
After looking at several places over a few months we chose Drumlin Reserve over all others not only for its location and beautiful property but for the staff and amazing residents that reside here. Moms apt looks out the back and its simply stunning with the landscape and wildlife that is so abundant here. The herd of Deer that come to graze is the highlight of moms day as are the other ground critters and abundance of birds. Its like watching Wild Life Federation LIVE out your own window! and thats just the back yard view...... The front has an incredibly huge Koi pond with a waterfall and gazebo which is well maintained as is all the landscape. Kevin head of Maintenance and Rick are non stop on the go from maintaining the outdoors as well as any issues that may arise indoors. From helping you hang a TV mount to fixing dishwashers, they get it done the next day if not that same day- no long waits for requests to be filled here... The apts are spacious and well maintained. Lots of room, closet space, windows and natural lighting.. Plenty big for her grand piano and her little dog too (Gus)!.Mom and I Love these apartments.... Staff here are very caring and attentive and I love that they have an "open-door" policy. Be it the Director or other Management team members, their doors are always open whether to just pop in and say "hi" or to have a more serious conversation/voice concerns. The nurses and CNA''s are all friendly, competent and professional and always make time for you. I know she is in good hands medically no matter what "shift" is working.....Kudos to that! The meal plans are great and the Food is awesome. The kitchen staff will make special dietary changes to accommodate residents needs including my moms and go out of their way in presentation of same...Nice to see ppl taking pride in what they cook and serve! Mom''s transition from her house to here was hard, but she has made a lot of new friends, is coming out to socialize daily and even has her gang of gal pals she hangs with for cards! There are a lot of activities and outings for everyone and Happy Hour every Friday! It''s great to see her interacting and laughing again and while she still misses her house, she now calls this "Home"...How cool is that?!
Read moreSince my mom has been at Drumlin, I have never seen her have so much fun and make so many new wonderful friends!! The staff is so caring and generous and thoughtful. I appreciate everyone especially Travis Borchardt. I feel that my mom is in the best hands.
