The only reasons we didn't go there were 1) their services were a little higher cost. I visited and we saw the assisted living. They have three meals a day. They come in and take out the trash once a week. They do the bedding, and they do the laundry. They have activities as well. Everything is just very nice. They have an activities director as well. They take them on outings, and they would take them to their doctor appointments if needed. It's a very nice facility. They have a really nice, clean courtyard with a beautiful fountain. It's just very serene and clean. I looked at the room that I was going to choose for him, which was very nice and clean. It has a microwave, refrigerator, and the restroom was built so they can just walk in; they don't have to step over. They have a seating area for them and there are handlebars. Everyone would get one of those emergency things.

Read moreI came to Del Obispo Terrace last month after being in a nursing home for 6 weeks. The care that I received has helped me to completely recover and I am now self sufficient and have made the decision to make Del Obispo Terrace my permanent home.

There are a lot of things I like about it. However, it is very old and more like a nursing home than an independent living. I did like that each unit had a patio or a deck that you could go outside to. However, I didn't care for the arrangement of the rooms. The independent was separated slightly from everything else, but it was a longer walk from there to where you would go in to any activities. It didn't seem much of a place I would want to be in.
