Commonwealth Senior Living at Chesterfield was clean. They plant and grow some of their own herbs and serve them to the residents. They serve fresh food as much as possible, even seafood. They said that they even get it from the Chesapeake Bay. It's fresh. The lady who gave us the tour was very nice and knowledgeable. I was impressed. We got to see a couple of sample rooms of the residents to see the layout of how they arrange their furniture, beds, and stuff. They have screened-in porches that the residents can go to and other areas that they can sit at. They have activities for the residents. Every week they take them somewhere.

Commonwealth Senior Living at Chesterfield was really nice. It was more expensive than what we were looking for. The people were really nice there. The rooms were nice. They had a separate room if you wanted to have your own place. However, it was a little bit cheaper if you wanted to do a room with two people. It was a good size. It was nice for a dresser. It was set up like a hospital. The person who took us around was very helpful, very nice, and told us different things. They serve three meals a day. I believe that you have to bring your own appliances. They have a few things there.

I toured Commonwealth Senior Living at Chesterfield. The facility was wonderful, but the staff didn't seem as friendly. The residents looked well taken care of. They have a few more amenities and a longer list of activities and things that they do. They also have a bus that could take the residents out even if it's to Walmart, the park, or the library. They have weekly outings and things like that, and I like that, too. The facility was immaculate. It was clean, so that was very impressive. The residents I saw seemed very content. If I could afford that one, I would have chosen that. It's a little pricey, but it would have been worth the price.

I enjoyed meeting with the Sales Director to tour the facility. She answered my questions and offered her assistance moving forward. I visited right after breakfast and many residents were watching tv in a sitting area. I didn't see a lot of genuine staff/resident interactions. Most staff seemed to be on cell phones and spoke after I spoke to them. The SD stated that was how staff get their notifications. I also didn't see a lot of mobile residents. Most were in their beds or in wheelchairs. The SD stated that unfortunately a lot of the residents were at the end of life. The rooms were big and very nice. I liked the fact that they had cameras in common areas and the residents could lock their individual doors. While it didn't seem like a good fit for my loved one, they seem to offer a lot of activities and amenities for the residents to enjoy.

I toured Commonwealth Senior Living at Chesterfield. The rooms were okay. However, I don't think they have a door to the closet; it was like an open closet kind of thing. I thought the rooms were clean, but compared to others, some of the rooms were a little dated. I didn't have a lot of encounters with the staff, but the ones who took me on a tour were very knowledgeable. They were very pleasant, so I had no problems with them at all. The grounds were well kept. They have a courtyard but it's not as big as some of the others that I visited. As for activities, there were a few residents that were out in the community area, and they were doing some activities.
