To all who read: Thanks to all of the staff at Commonwealth Memory Care. Each staff member deserves special recognition, but I would like to offer special thanks to one of the employees who assists my wife [name removed] on a continual basis. I want to acknowledge the continued and much appreciated support that [name removed] (not sure of last name) is providing for my wife [name removed]. She keeps me updated on [name removed] needs and updates me on her recent behavior when I come to visit. Please extend my highest compliments to [name removed] for her hard work. Commonwealth is lucky to have her as an experienced and caring team member and so is our family. Commonwealth Memory Care at Chesapeake was excellent. They had everything that one would need. The staff engaged with the elderly people there. You could tell that they understand and care about their patients. The staff was excellent and I have no problem. The rooms were excellent. I looked at a companion room, and it was roomy and very comfortable. They would share a bathroom, but everything was clean. I have no issue with them. They have a nice cafeteria. The outside area was excellent. The amenities were excellent.

My father was a resident at Commonwealth Memory Care at Chesapeake and our experience was terrible at this facility. I heard staff being rude to my father and to other patients. My dads things went missing all the time. Women's clothes would be in his clothes, his room was dirty, they never swept un...

My father was a resident at Commonwealth Memory Care at Chesapeake and our experience was terrible at this facility. I heard staff being rude to my father and to other patients. My dads things went missing all the time. Women's clothes would be in his clothes, his room was dirty, they never swept under his bed and once I went in and his sheets had blood and urine on them. I told the staff how dirty everything was and about his sheets and I had to change them and sweep his floor. They actually gave me the broom and sheets to do it myself. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff acts like they hate their job.

My dad is a resident of Commonwealth Memory Care at Chesapeake. So far, everyone has been very nice, they're very professional, and it seems that they put the care and concern of my dad first. We were out of town last week, so they sent me a picture to show me that he was doing okay. It's been very good so far. His room is big, it's clean, and it's very nice. They've got a barber onsite, they've got a TV room, exercise, puzzles, they do a daily devotional, they've got snacks for everybody and plenty of ice cream. They also have books, they have big outdoor bowling, and they keep them busy. The building itself is older but they maintain it and they do a very good job of keeping it clean.
