As a seasoned practitioner with three decades of experience in PBC, I have always prioritized the well-being of my patients. However, after a recent appalling encounter with Chatsworth, I can no longer endorse or recommend their services. Their management is a disgrace, their facility is nothing short of unreliable, and they seem to prioritize profit over patient care. Let me paint you a picture of their negligence: I referred a patient to Chatsworth, trusting that they would receive proper care. Instead, what ensued was a nightmare. Despite clear indications for intervention, the administration chose to turn a blind eye, allowing a preventable medical condition to spiral out of control. As a result of their inaction, my patient ended up aspirating, developing pneumonia, and was hastily readmitted to the hospital. But wait, it gets worse. While battling these complications, we discovered that the patient had contracted COVID-19 during their stay at Chatsworth, compounding their already dire situation. After enduring over two weeks of sheer incompetence, we finally transferred the patient to a facility that actually cares about their well-being. The difference was like night and day – competent staff, efficient care, and genuine concern for the patient''s recovery. I vow that this will be my last referral to Chatsworth until I receive satisfactory explanations for their egregious failures. And if they continue to dodge accountability, I will never associate with them again. This ordeal epitomizes the worst of healthcare in PBC. I implore you: steer clear of Chatsworth at all costs if you value the health and safety of your patients, your loved ones, or anyone you hold dear. They are a prime example of greed and negligence masquerading as a healthcare facility.

I have been a practitioner in PBC for 30 years. I refer, recommend and guide patients to facilities and will no longer refer or recommend Chatsworth after how they treated me and a patient I referred recently. The management is terrible, the facility is unreliable and understaffed. They could have done the right thing but the administration chose not to and a preventable medical condition worsened due to inaction, my patient aspirated causing pneumonia resulting in the patient to be readmitted to the hospital. This all could have been prevented with a simple procedure. Once at the hospital we then found out the patient contracted COVID while at Chatsworth on top of the other issues. 2+ weeks later we are now at another facility which is 100% better and the patient is making progress to finally go home. That is the last referral to them until I get some answers. If I don’t get answers then never again. This is by far the worst experience and the worst example in healthcare in PBC. I highly recommend you avoid this facility at all cost if you value your patients, your family, or a friend’s health.

Imagine my disappointment when I heard that the entire therapy staff of Chatsworth (Liberty) has been terminated. I am shocked as my family has had two members who received extended therapy there which was excellent. My brother, who had many health issues received excellent care from the therapists who had him up and moving following open heart surgery. His recovery was much faster than expected and I know that it was due to the diligent and caring therapists. Recently, my sister resided at Chatsworth following a long hospital stay. She could barely stand on her own, and with the help of the therapists, she increased her mobility and ability to take care of her daily needs more independently. When she was discharged, she left with confidence. I cannot say enough about the quality care that my family members received. I fear that the next time a family member needs a quality rehab center, that I won''t know where to go. I don''t think I would feel comfortable having a different group of therapists. I''m sorry to see Chatsworth letting such a fine and caring group of people go.

My husband had a stroke, and has been at Chatsworth for several weeks of rehab. The physical therapy and nursing staff are compassionate and truly caring—also, the facility is beautifully maintained. We especially enjoy sitting in the garden during the afternoons. We are hopeful to conclude our rehab with my husband regaining most of his mobility. We highly recommend Chatsworth. Sincerely, M.L.
