Staff was very helpful and accommodating- residents appear relaxed, happy and well taken care of, building and grounds were well maintained and clean - far exceeds that of similar facilities

Chase City Health and Rehab was a true blessing for me during my Mom’s struggle with dementia. I tried caring for her at home, had sitters help with her at home, and entered living facilities but eventually Mom needed more care than could be provided. Chase City personnel had the professional training while demonstrating respect, patience and concern for Mom’s welfare. Staff was always helpful and attentive when I had questions. Mom recently passed away but I truly thank everyone at Chase City for their assistance during this difficult time.

I''ve been working here as a travel nurse for two months. In those two months I witnessed ups and downs. Overall a great facility, good solid therapy, knowledgeable nursing staff and a solid PA who is very attentive and caring towards all the residents in that building; she is literally the rock upon which they stand. The unit managers made me feel at ease when stress was brewing. The cnas where always on top of their game. The maintenance guy would zip around the building addressing any and all issues with haste. The activities are engaging and they do a variety to include all mental levels. The dietary staff does some amazing work because these residents lick their plates clean everytime. The therapy department is extremely active with their patients and I saw a lot of quick turnarounds for patients that had quite the physical challenges. To anyone reading this, don''t hesitate to put your loved ones here.

The faculty and staff have been very caring and attentive to my mother. I am appreciative of the communication between the staff and myself. The team there from Ms. Sheardine, Melissa, Sarah, Jackie, Angie, Sue, Krista, Ruby, and countless others have eased my initial fears of my mother transitioning to a long-term care facility. It''s a very family oriented place and for that I am grateful. Kudos CCHRC :)

When I visited the facility I immediately noticed the difference in smell that I typically associate with convalescent facilities. This place is clean was my first thought thereafter. And as I traveled the halls and different wings I realized it was very clean. The staff was busy yet helpful. And the administrator was friendly and made sure we knew everything we needed to know about safety during our visit.
