I had the unfortunate experience of not only working for them for a couple of years but also having my aunt in their facility. I spent over four years working for this company, the original owners the Myers were amazing. When they sold to the cheap Jewish nursing home chain company the entire building changed, starting with the horrible management. The employees who had been with the Myers family all left as I wish I had as well, the people brought in to replace them were the downfall of it all. Dharma was a beautiful well run place, being the original part of CECAA the Myers made sure their dementia unit was top tier. With the hiring of MARION LACOY a negative, miserable, unprofessional environment was brought upon dharma. From the point of view as someone who had to work under her as well as see my poor family being miss treated by her lack of care as well as responsibility for the unit. Every other ten mins she is in the back parking lot in her car smoking a cigarette unable to be reached by any worker or resident. I could no longer stay and sit around to watch the place I so much loved and enjoyed to work at go down the toilet. When my mother decided to put my aunt in this nursing home I begged her to choose any other place besides here. With my aunt having dementia I feared for her safety and care under someone like MARION LACOY. Marion hates her job and takes it out on the people who are there to do it correctly. It’s sad that this facility puts up with such a cancerous, negative, horrible woman to run their most important floor with their most vulnerable clients. If you care about your own mental health, or your parents or grandparents safety do not put them in this nursing home. I can promise you nothing positive at all goes on behind those doors.

Wonderful place. Staff are like a family and residents are part of that.
Amherst provides a caring staff who genuinely try to make an impact in the lives of their residents. I was very impressed with the services and treatment from the CNAs and Nurses!
