It took nearly a day for the staff to process the intake paperwork while we waited in the hospital. The whole place smells of feces. After the first of 3 promised therapy sessions mom was placed in bed for the rest of the day. Call button was ignored for a long time. Diet restrictions, specifically limited fluid intake, were not followed. We have been waiting since yesterday for discharge paperwork to be processed. (It is now almost noon). In the meantime, a staff member insisted on filling out an intake survey even though we are leaving. Avoid this place.

So at first we felt my mom was going to get proper care. Boy were we wrong. The care she is receiving is a joke!!! They left her in soiled sheets for hours. She asked for medicine for upset stomach which she received 5 hours later. She got no oxygen for at least 30 minutes when she is oxygen dependent... now she is on oxygen that makes her freeze to death when she has never had issues with oxygen making her cold. We believe because we complained they are putting it at too high of a level. They haven''t given her the proper night meds to help her sleep. The food is actually horrible. I saw ants crawling on her wall. Her room mate They leave for hours unattended and barely help. And don''t complain to nurses they love to cop an attitude and argue with you. Tomorrow they in for a real surprise when my sister and I show up together with a legal complaint and transfer papers. My mom is a person not someone they get to send to the grave. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. THE STAFF DOES THE ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM

Do not send your loved one here. Discharged my uncle completley dehydrated. He was admitted to the hospital in critical condition due to dehydration the morning after they sent him home. Nurses were rude and not caring at all. I could go on. Looks nice but is awful!

Save your loved ones and yourself. Do not cross the threshold of this facility. In early January 2022 my father entered carriage hill with a hip fracture and exited by having his body taken to a funeral home. The lack of care and neglect he experienced caused him to needlessly suffer and experience a painful death at the hands of the administrator and insufficient nursing staff. I want to honor his death by warning people from entering this facility. I availble to talk to others whose loved ones suffered at carriage hill. I am posting with my name and live in Bethesda, MD.
