I recently received a letter from carolina Gardens on Leaphart rd in west columbia that all of memory care residents are being evicted by the May 31st because allegedly getting sold. How is this legally possible during the covid eviction moratorium? I''ve gotten absolutely no help from anyone in the facility. My phone calls go unanswered. Is anyone else having the same issue of having to relocate their loved one in less than 30 days? I am exhausted of trying to call or communicate they''ve done nothing on their part to help me relocate my mom and at this point all I can think is that come may 31st at 1159 pm my mother will be left homeless standing on their front porch as I myself cannot afford to place her elsewhere. Is anyone else in the same situation and can anyone offer me some possible feedback and or resources that might help me. Thank you

Well since I along with other residents and staff we had to be off the property by May 31 2021 midnight the new owners were ready to demo it. Best thing for it...the letter I got May 3 not certified not offical address to me but dear resident and staff. .I see April Byrd still working..this was a improper eviction but they got what they wantec.now I pray its destroyed finding very costly material like asbestos lead exct..and that it never is allowed to open to lie and mistreat.
Read moreI like the community for my loved one. The community has been great at working my concerns and questions over my loved one. The food looks good, and my loved one likes it. They have games, bible study, games, and more for the residents.
We virtually toured this community. The staff was very friendly and shared a lot of great information. They followed up with us also. We were not able to do a regular tour due to covid.
