FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. 5 + STARS….Everyone at Brooke Knoll Village is truly a winner at their job. Lots of help, smiles and hugs. They really care! Starting with the Administrator Justin, who came by every day to check on me, to Joe in housekeeping, who made me smile everyday. My therapist and my treatment was far beyond the call of duty. Adam (PT) and Kristina (OT) actually made me look forward to PT and OT everyday. My CNA, Esther, who paid attention to every detail to assure my total comfort. CNA Latisha, whose positive morning attitude made my stay outstanding. Finally, the NP Jennifer, went above and beyond to make sure that I never had any questions or concerns with my care. She would come in and sit down, took her time and never made me feel rushed or a bother. If you, or a loved one, need specialized care BKN is the place for sure! You won’t regret your decision!

I don’t recommend you put your loved ones in this place. My mother had surgery and needed rehab. She was a very small woman with fibromyalgia, neuropathy, etc… She required to be picked up generally. I asked the office and the rehab staff to do a quick class with the aids, to train them on how to lift her correctly (less painful way) … The aids are not trained well enough to know how to do it. They are only there to change their diapers and beds. My mom couldn’t drink water with ice in it . After being there almost 2 months, they STILL brought her ice water! I had signs all over her room that said PLEASE NO ICE IN HER WATER!!!!! After all these requests (over and over) so it’s not like she asked only once or twice, it was several times, and sometimes several times a day….! So after 2+ months she was dehydrated . And one day she was complaining about her ribs on her left side, and when she was rolled over to her left side to do bed change, she couldn’t breathe and she was in so much pain… I looked at the area she was complaining about , and she was purple with bruises. I instantly felt sick. I asked her what happened and she said that they manhandled her when a certain aid lifted her… ! I had already asked for another aid to be removed from taking care of her because she was mean by pushing her and pulling her hair ( on 3rd shift when I wasn’t there.) So when I saw the bruises I was so upset. I went to the office AGAIN and I told them that I wanted an X-ray to see if her ribs were fractured. They sent a technician to do the X-ray. I was there and I talked to her about what happened. She told me that they sent her there to do a muscular not a skeletal ! She said she was sent there to see if she had pneumonia …! And then when we had a meeting with the office and the nurse, I asked for an accident report, they said sure. Then when I got to the office to get it, they told me that they didn’t have to give it to me..! I KNEW RIGHT THEN THEY DIDNT HAVE ONE!!!! A couple days later my mom was hospitalized and she never went home and she passed away. I know that if she wasn’t injured , she would have had a fighting chance… instead she passed away dehydrated and she was never able to walk or pivot transfer (stand and turn) …!!! I would NEVER SEND ANYONE THERE AGAIN!!! I had an investigation done, and the state found 32 pages of violations… I truly hope that helps the other loved ones that are still in this place. I get so sick to my stomach just thinking about it..! And as soon as I called the state, all of the sudden the rehab staff brought in the aids to do a quick class on how to lift my mom and other people with her condition…! I don’t even give this place one star…!!! I lost my mom due to the setbacks…! She lost her fighting spirit because she felt helpless when know one would listen to her…! I pray that this helps someone who has a loved one that needs help…DONT TAKE THEM HERE!!!

Quality care does not exist at this facility! We entrusted our Mother’s care to the individuals here and my heart breaks that we subjected her to such neglect. Poor attention to hygiene, soiled laundry left for days, rude and inattentive staff are just some of the horrors of this place. Visitors found my barely responsive Mother slumped over her unopened food tray in the dining room and had 911 called. I hope this review saves another family from making the mistake of choosing this facility for their loved one.

We moved my grandmother to Brooke Knoll in long term care from another facility. The nursing staff were so personable and truly caring, not only to my grandmother but to the family as well. The facility is beautiful! We had her in a semi-private room. The rooms are spacious and have a partition that makes them feel private. Bathroom and shower are in the rooms as well, which was very nice. Management went above and beyond when we decided to place her on hospice. I would highly recommend Brooke Knoll Village!

We move my Grandmother there in November after she fell and hit her head at home. We eventually had to put her in hospice. Brooke Knoll was very accommodating and wonderfully kind. Even in tough circumstances, they still made my grandmother smile and enjoy the time she had left. The staff is exceptional and I can not recommend them enough for your loved ones.

Don''t judge this book by it''s cover. They have skillfully crafted the facade of a beautiful building, but hidden beneath that is the truth. They have a $15,000 grand piano, a state of the art movie theatre, nice decor, and an indoor therapeutic pool right when you walk in. Unfortunately, these are just for show and sit here mostly unused. I''ve been here, as a resident, for over a year and would never send a family member here. They are constantly understaffed and have a high employee turnover rate. They cut corners on food, medical supplies, and other necessities and comforts. According to U.S. News and Report (the most trusted and accurate rehab and nursing home ratings) Brooke Knoll Village has an overall rating of Below Average. They have a rating of 1.7 ☆''s out of 5. Its a depressing environment, and continues to get worse. There are some good aides and a restorative rehabilitation aide department now, but there needs to be more improvement. It got better here for awhile and I even gave 3 stars, but that was short-lived.
