I toured Brookdale Paulin Creek. The grounds and the staff were great, but it was more expensive. Everything about it, including its proximity to places, was good. The upkeep of the place was great. The apartments were comparable. I saw the exercise room, the meeting rooms, and the dining room.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. Both washers breaking down within a year. They replaced with a used one that the residents had a hard time using because doors wasn't aligned and they don't have the strength to close or afraid of it breaking. It also had mildew build up that I was able to remove some but not all. Also I had to adjust bottoms because they didn't set it to balance properly it so it wobbled when in its spin cycle. They want a simple washer to get their clothes clean.

It's a good facility, but of course not exactly cheap. There are lots of activities for people, and my mother often says that the food is good. They just replaced all the carpets in the common areas. We picked this community because, it was closer to my mom's community of friends, and cheaper by a couple thousand dollars per month. I wish they would help with hanging up her pictures and other minor maintenance tasks (eg fixing an internal door lock).
