I have toured Brookdale Norman. It's very warm and welcoming, I saw the residents being happy. It's older, in terms of the facility, and didn't have the same spacious feeling that I saw with other places. But it was very clean and tidy, and the tour person, Naomi, was very professional and answered all my questions. They didn't have a model room for me to look at, so I toured two rooms with the residents' permission. The rooms were very nice and both were studio-type rooms. They had religious services, a courtyard, a dining area, a small entryway for gathering in another small area, and they have activities. They also have transportation to medical appointments. So overall, it was very comfortable. They also had a sunroom that was airconditioned and cool.

They served the people and they come and cleaned it up, it's just nice. The rooms we saw were really good, they had an area where we could set up a microwave and have snacks in the room if we wanted to. Plus there's a separate bedroom and a little living room. It's not big because we don't want it big anyway, but it's nice. They worked hard at keeping the place clean, they don't have the smells and stuff. They had a lot of stuff, they had a board set up where they had all their activities for the week and you could see what was going on. They could participate in a lot of different things, there's an area where everybody could get together if they wanted to. They also have an ice cream social, they sit and listen to people that came and played music, which was nice.

We LOVE Brookdale and the staff! I have recommended them to quite a few people. The staff knows every resident well and they care about their well being. From top management right down to maintenance, they are great, hard working, caring people!
