Chapel Hill Senior Living was exceptionally beautiful inside. They had an apartment that would be very, very doable for me and my husband. He's wheelchair-bound most of the time so that worked, as long as he can do transfers, which he can. The building itself and everything was very, very nice. When I walked in, I felt like I had just come home. I was there when they were serving meals because they went to the dining room, and the food looked really good, but I haven't tried it yet. They have a garden club where they actually grow their own vegetables and then they give them to the kitchen, so the kitchen can use them in all their meals. They have a happy hour. They have activities every day. They go out on activities. They will also bring you to doctors' appointments if you have an appointment, but also they have a doctor that will come in. They have podiatry. They will come in and clip your toenails. They have a lot of different things like that. They have entertainment. It seemed like it was a good fit, but not an overwhelming fit. The staff during the tour is Bethany. She was fabulous. She will go as far as coming to our house to kind of give my husband an overview of what everything's about and bring him some kind of dessert. She'll go out of her way for you. My son and daughter and daughter-in-law had a tour after I had a tour and they were very impressed with it, too, and they liked her. I got to meet the nurse over there and she was very nice. Everybody was just friendly. They call all the residents by name. It's a happy environment. It was totally clean. I didn't come across any area that wasn't clean.

My brother will be moving into Chapel Hill Senior Living. The director showed us around, and I was pleased with everything. We chose this facility because it's between my house and his daughter's house. The facility was very clean and organized. They had a garden area and several common areas inside and outside that were very nice. They had activity areas, a library, and a pub. They had clubs for everyone. The staff members were very nice.

My mom has moved into Chapel Hill Senior Living. She is in the memory care unit, which is a small, closed-door unit with no more than 30 residents, somewhere between 25 and 30. When I went there, everyone was so warm and friendly. They call it a Montessori approach to memory care. They keep it as social and as active as possible; some people are more active than others, but my mother is in the middle, and she can still participate in things. The activities they have are quite varied. They have arts and crafts, and I couldn't believe the things they provided for them to do. I saw some of the products, a little birdhouse that they paint, and I saw a rabbit probably about 12 feet tall that they could paint and put on the door. They play bingo and they have music at least twice a week. They take them on what they call mystery rides. I think the reason they just call it a mystery ride is that if you tell someone in memory care where you're going, they're going to hold on to that. The first mystery ride that my mother had, she went to a petting zoo, and she was thrilled. They bring in therapy animals at least twice a month. Some of them are farm animals and some of them are just dogs and cats. The women that run the place as the activity directors are lovely. My mother was braiding Bella; she is one of the directors. Bella has pictures of my mother putting all braids in her hair because my mother used to do that for her grandchildren. They're very skillful at finding the things that they may be interested in. I was so thrilled with this particular place. They have a lovely courtyard where they do cookouts and you can sit out; it's all fenced in, so it's safe. I was so thrilled that I didn't need to look anyplace else. I had seven on my list for that day and I canceled the other six; they didn't matter because this place is more than fine. They have a 24-hour visiting schedule, you can go anytime, it's an open-door policy. The dining area is adorable. It looks like a mini restaurant, a nice restaurant with tables, tablecloths, curtains on the window, and a nice floor. I've had three meals there and the food is very good. From what I understand, everything is baked on the premises and cooked fresh. They use the herbs from their garden. Their chef is supposed to be a five-star chef; I believe it because the food is good. The person that helps you get the placement there, assists the families in coming to Chapel Hill. She's the one that told me to get my mom into the rehab facility, and she also facilitated it. She went to the rehab place, had a meeting with the director, and got my mother in for rehab before moving in here. I would like to give accolades to Bethany, she helps above and beyond anything. She's just a lovely human being that wants to make sure the families are well taken care of, and that the memory care patient is happy.

I visited Chapel Hill Senior Living. They were very nice. We very much enjoyed them. What I liked about it is it's a one-floor memory care unit. The staff definitely knew the residents. They called them by name, and then they had conversations as we were walking around. It was very clean. I also liked the fact that they had an area in the back with a garden, and it was not locked, so residents can go out if they want and come back in, and it's all gated. For my dad, who's a little bit more cognitive, to be able to actually go out into that area is very nice, because if it's locked, I think it makes him feel like he's in jail a little bit. The staff was wonderful. Cristina, who gave us the tour, was awesome, very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. I was super impressed. They had a patio and a courtyard.

My aunt used to live in Chapel Hill. It was very nice and very clean. The people were very nice, and it is in a very nice district. My aunt really loved it there, but the reason why she moved was because of COVID; she wasn't able to be with family. Their services were very good. They had games, bingo, and music. They had different things. She liked it and she was comfortable living there. She was complaining she was getting too much food, but she doesn't eat that much. She only eats small portions and they would give her a lot, which she wasn't able to finish all the time. The facility looked pretty clean to me.

Chapel Hill Senior Living was very good. It was top of the line. I saw rooms, I met different people that work there, and the whole thing was clean, uplifting, very professional, courteous, and caring, and that's the impression I got from them. I was impressed by everything that I saw there. When I was there, they were having a watercolor painting class, and in another area, they were doing some type of exercise. Those were the only two activities I got to see.
