What we like the most about the Brookdale Cape Cod is the staff team, they are amazing, and the community place is kept very clean. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.
The place is very clean, and my mom has a nice room. Activities director quit, so there's no one in charge and no real activities. Management never told us about her leaving. Serious lack of communication. Disappointed!

When it comes to the cleanliness of the community it is old looking and kind of dark and drab. Some of the staff members were great and others did not appear to be as interested. When it comes to the quality of care again some of the staff there were much more interested in the residents then other staff members. The meals were okay, not spectacular but not awful. My brother was there just for respite care. It was the only place available for respite as we transitioned him into his more permanent placement. Brookdale was not on the short list for placement. Most of the residents were further along in the disease process so he would not (did not) have any peers.

my husband has been in the memory unit at Brookdale cape cod for one month and 3 days. he is very happy with the food, his sunny room, the activities and the staff. he is particularly happy with his inclusion in the AL coffees he attends, and he much enjoys the musicales, and the two outside gardens. from my perspective the staff goes to great lengths to make his life comfortable and safe. he has begun to make a few friends and learn names. the facility is such that there is an attempt to meet every specific need and to provide him with control over his environment that makes him feel safe.
