The Staff at Brookstone Living Center is caring . Our experience with Brookstone for the last six weeks has been great .
My Stepfather was recently released from this facility, thankfully. He was brought home via ambulance transport and under hospice care currently. When we received him, his bedsore was way worse than they said it was and he had no dressing on the wound, we were all stunned including the hospice nurse...
My Stepfather was recently released from this facility, thankfully. He was brought home via ambulance transport and under hospice care currently. When we received him, his bedsore was way worse than they said it was and he had no dressing on the wound, we were all stunned including the hospice nurses. This kind of care is unacceptable. We called to ask why and were basically blown off by them saying it wasnt that way when he left us. He was also brought home with no paperwork, no medications or list. The hospices nurses had to scramble to figure out everything. Please consider taking your loved ones somewhere else.

An older facility. No bad smells as indicated by some reviews. Fresh (ish) paint and new plastic seats on old, rusted equipment. Some structural damage was covered by paint at one time, now cracks are coming through again. Staff is very friendly. Some seem genuinely concerned about care for patients...

Some structural damage was covered by paint at one time, now cracks are coming through again. Staff is very friendly. Some seem genuinely concerned about care for patients, others perhaps not. New Bern is 10 minutes away and has several better options that I would consider before placing anyone here.
