Mom moved to Fairmont Senior Living of Westlake. The biggest selling point about that place was she was allowed to smoke on the premises. Her room is nice and clean. There's a bedroom, a little family area room, a little kitchen, and a bathroom. She's kind of just getting acclimated to everybody, but I know they have bingo, people that come in to perform music like guitar or piano, and they take trips to places. I had lunch there and I just had a burger and fries. The burger was fine. The fries were not. The person that we were initially dealing with for the lease thing left after we met them. So we had a person who was filling in and that wasn't their job. Then we have a personnel who does that job, and they did fine. So, there was a bit of a lapse there because of the changeover, but the person we ended up with was fine, knowledgeable, and helpful. The staff that does the cleaning seem fine and nice, too.

My dad thoroughly loves living there, if he can't live at home, and we have had such a wonderful experience. Everyone is friendly and helpful- the entire administrative team, the caregivers, the medical staff, the cooks & waitstaff, and housekeepers, everyone. My family goes to Tuesday night game night, and we have so much fun playing Yahtzee and UNO with the residents.

Fairmont was a close second for us. The only reason I didn't pick them was the smaller size of apartment, and lack of kitchen. I feel that my loved one wouldn't have liked that.
