My dad stayed here for rehab after a hospitalization & received horrible care. His bed sore worsened significantly while there due to poor care.
Of the 9 other rehab facilities I visited Briarwood rehab is the best.I choose them for the care of my mother they are clean and caring .
My mom has stayed at Bentley Square for the last 2 months. Since her arrival, my mom has done a complete 180 on her well being. The staff is wonderful! Especially Mr. Baren, Jackie, Tolecia, Sabrina, Patrice, Princess, and Anette. They have done a phenomenal job in ensuring my mom is well cared for...

Beware! When I read the reviews on this facility, I went with the positive ones which was a big mistake. Every single negative review is accurate. This is a TERRIBLE facility. The staff choose who to treat well. If you select this place, just know you are taking a gamble! My father was in this facility for quite a while. In the beginning it seemed okay, but reality set in quickly. There is one orderly that I found pleasant and helpful. A few staff members were nice; however, the negative experiences of this facility outweigh the positive ones. No one answers the phones on the weekends. When I visited on the weekends, there were times when I waited over 20 minutes to get in. I once called the main number, and it rang to a patient’s room! One Saturday, there were at least ten of us outside waiting to get in, even after ringing the doorbell. Most of the nursing staff does not speak and do not want you speaking to them. I do not believe my father was given all his medication based upon what I observed. I would ask the nurse on duty and blown off. They do not want to be bothered with people asking questions and it’s apparent. One employee, Lenay was super rude during one visit. I nicely asked her if someone could assist my father. She mumbled and didn’t look up from what she was doing. My father shared a room with another patient, and they watched the same TV. When the other patient was discharged; the TV no longer worked. I asked an orderly (tall male) if he could find a working remote. He tried to get the TV to work and then shrugged his shoulders and disappeared. The staff made sure the TV worked fine for the other gentleman but could have cared less about my father. The other patient was given preferential treatment. I called the 800 number from responses to other negative reviews. After two weeks, I received a call back and told they have nothing to do with Briarwood. I finally was given a name of the director. When I voiced my concerns, I received attitude. I spoke of my father’s medication; treatment by staff; no one present to answer the door for visitors; rude staff, and more. It was a wasted effort. I was lied to about my father overall progress and physical therapy. There were times when a couple of ladies tried to get my attention because they needed help. One lady wanted to go back to her room. When I mentioned it to the front desk, it was said “We know she wants to go back to her room.” They took their time getting her back there. This will turn into a mini booklet, but think twice!
