Brentwood was handling my mother''s care well until she started showing symptoms of Covid 19. I brought them up to the nursing staff on a Sunday and she wasn''t tested for Covid until 2 days later during "routine" testing at the facility -- even though my mother had been exposed the week prior to someone else in her room who tested positive for Covid. I was told that "everyone here has a cough" as a defense for not testing her sooner. Although I was informed right away that my mother had tested positive for Covid, was being placed in quarantine, was being assigned a nurse and could not be visited for 10 days, the facility did not provide me with any additional information. They appeared to be concerned only with the spread of Covid at the facility, which is of course a concern. They did not reach out to me about how she would be treated for Covid, I had to do that myself. And the nursing staff told me incorrectly that she "had no symptoms" when I myself had reported symptoms two days earlier. I understand that Brentwood is not a Covid care facility, but if someone gets Covid there the place should show concern for the patients that come down with it and let the family members of the patient know that they are doing what they can to treat Covid. That wasn''t done in this case. Additionally, there are some members of the staff, including Administrator Jona Ashcroft, who are simply dismissive of family members'' concerns and highly defensive -- with a "we didn''t do anything wrong ever" and a cya attitude.

My dad stayed here for only 2 days however when he was transferred to the hospital they didn’t give us his clothes . I have tried to contact the home several times with no one calling me back to discuss what happened to my dad’s clothes. I even went to the home after calling to ask them to get his stuff together and they said they would do it but when I arrived they had nothing together and left to go look for over 30 min . I can’t believe they could lose a bag full of clothes and also shoes . I am disappointed with the lack of communication .
