My mother-in-law has recently moved to Bella Vista. It's only been a little bit, but it seems like a very nice place for her. It's what she needs. The staff is responding quite well, they have housekeeping come once a week, and they have meals prepared. So she goes down to eat the meals and everything's taken care of. They're taking social security checks, but they give her $100 a month for spending money, which is more than enough. Her room is very, very nice, I wouldn't mind retiring there myself. The place is so new, they have a library, and she wants to volunteer because she's so into reading. They also do bingo every now and then. They have plenty of things for the people. She's not all crazy about the food, but it's good, healthy stuff. She has a partial view of the park, so she's not just looking at a brick wall. The place seems to be very well-maintained, and they have a bus parked out at the back. The staff keeps us very well-informed.
Read moreI toured Bella Vista and the facility was old and dark. I witnessed an abandoned resident in the lounge area. I had hoped to witness lunch, but unfortunately it was in between seatings.
Ownership has changed and the food has improved since then, but rent has jumped tremendously. The amenities are good, but we are disappointed in the care level. They're often short staffed, especially on the weekends.
I toured this community and the tour itself was excellent. They spent a lot of time with us. I did notice the apartments were older and not as nice as some of the other places that we looked at.

It's just great! I've made a lot of friends.
