Very unhappy 😞 Mom was in assisted living “The Inn” a tiny rm 4 mo, 2 times on Covid lockdown, last one was 3 wks !! I have been w Mom every day for many years. They complained she needed more help !! Well I couldn’t be there ! Plus they are not allowed to use to microwave, all she wanted was coffee. Then moved her to skilled nursing part 3 days after Christmas 😔 !! I had NO IDEA THEIR WAS NO BATHROOM IN THEIR ROOMS !! Mom couldn’t wait so she tried to get down this hallway to the bathroom and FELL !! No one answered call light. After this fall. Pneumonia in left lung, complained of pain every day, became bed bound unless someone helped her to the chair & back to bed. Doctor was there Jan12 - no further X-rays !! No pain meds! January 14 respiratory failure ,rushed to ER 🚨 In critical condition 3 days. Pulmonary embolism in right lung, left lung still pneumonia and a hiatal hernia pushing 1/2 her lung collapsed !! Transferred to Aultman until Jan 24. Bel Air then informs me they will not accept her back !!!! WHAT 😳 I didn’t act crazy or tell anyone off — I simply stated the TRUTH !! Then they said she could come back 2 wks till my brother & I decided on somewhere else, only to have Aultman transfer her at 2:00am to Salem North in Salem which we had discussed with the Social Worker @ Aultman. Now if all of this is acceptable to you …. I think not !!! My Mother is an Angel… she deserves a million times better !! Treating an 84 yr old w dementia this way is unacceptable and abhorrent. I am losing my Mother and you all just added way more stress to me and my brother. Needless to say …. DEMENTIA AND LOSING YOUR MOTHER ARE BEYOND ENOUGH STRESS !!! Please don’t take your Loved One here !!!!

I have been employed at Bel Air for over 20 years. Bel Air truly cares for the residents and their families as well as their employees and their families! I cannot count the number of times that an employee has purchased items for residents, not because they had to, but because they wanted to! We have had many fundraisers for employees that have fallen on hard times. We may be a small place, but we have big hearts!

I have worked at Bel Air for 11 years and was a nursing instructor at the facility prior to this time. The staff has always been caring and treat our residents like their family. I have worked LTC for over 25 years and the care at Bel Air is second to none. I have personally had a family member that I was ready to place at Bel Air (before he passed) because of the care I had witnessed. If you are in need of a Facility for rehab or LTC, Bel Air should be your choice
