We toured Bayside Terrace yesterday. When I walked in, it was nice. However, they're being bought out by somebody and a new company is taking them over, so they're renovating, and there was a lot of construction going on. It's an old hotel, and it's three levels, so it's really big. The person who assisted me was fantastic. She was helpful, informative, and knowledgeable. She seemed upbeat and she liked her job. She knew everybody that we walked by, and everybody said hello to us. It was a great place. For activities, they have bingo and movies. They have a library and a beauty salon. They do one field trip a week. They're open 24 hours for visiting. If I want to go see my mother, I can go and see her at any time.

Bayside has turned into a nightmare. The room was not cleaned upon move-in, and some fixtures needed repair, even though they had a month before scheduled move-in. Bayside has turned into a nightmare. The room was not cleaned upon move-in, and some fixtures needed repair, even though they had a month before scheduled move-in. None of the staff that was on board when we arrived is there now - turnover is incredible. They charged for services not provided to the tune of 3k in a 6 month period, with no attempt to rectify. He was charged for one month twice and incurred bank fees as a result - not reimbursed. Emails and phone calls go unanswered. Reported to BBB and they neglected to respond to the complaint. No PT options in-house and because they are not paying providers, care levels are decreasing and are unacceptable.

The facility is run down, short staffed, bad food, lack of activities and a depressing environment. The construction work in the Memory care area to fix plumbing leaks has been taking months to fix. It has displaced so many residents from their rooms and dining areas. There is no regard for the horrible living conditions there.

I toured Bayside Terrace. I thought it was decent. I didn't think it was great. I thought it was clean enough, but not free from odor. It's old people, so it's going to smell like urine probably. The rooms were hotel rooms, so not impressive, but it's a place to live. The person that we dealt with was a very nice girl. I think they have a library and a chapel.
