Find Your Spark at Azalea Trails
Azalea Trails offers award-winning assisted living and memory care in northeast Texas. Its approach to senior living is called SPARK, a program based on Montessori principles that provides a genuine purpose, keeps seniors learning, and offers meaningful social engagement. Through SPARK, older adults get a wide range of life-enriching activities that align with their interests, whether that’s gardening, dancing, exercising or taking part in volunteer projects. In addition, the events calendar includes happy hour socials, dominos tournaments, crafting activities and trips to area attractions like the Tyler Rose Museum and historic downtown Tyler.
The staff at Azalea Trails is committed to each resident’s quality of life, whatever that means for the individual. For some, it’s assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, continence, grooming and getting around. For others, it’s arranging nursing care, finding ways to explore hobbies or helping a new resident feel welcomed.
Azalea Trails: Assisted Living and Memory Care
At Azalea Trails, assisted living seniors and their families have several floor plans to choose from, including four one-bedroom apartment styles and one two-bedroom suite. Options include courtyards, kitchenettes and walk-in closets. Whatever floor plan they choose, residents get laundry services, housekeeping, assistance with personal care and access to three chef-prepared meals per day in the main dining room. They also get help with medication management, coordinating family visits and a full social calendar.
Azalea Trails’ Memory Care includes all services offered to assisted living residents but with added specialized care for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The dedicated memory care staff works hard to encourage independence, support creative expression, and provide a safe, structured environment to reinforce memory retention. They also make sure each resident’s long-term healthcare needs are being met.

I would highly recommend Azalea Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care to others. This is a hard process to go through. They were more than patient and accommodating with our issues as they came up. My parents love the food. It's served by a great group of sweet women who seem to care. So far, communication with the family has been minimal. I guess they are handling the little issues that come up and will contact us if they become bigger issues. My parents are very social. Daddy sees his time there as a ministry to encourage "old people". He's 91. Lol. Everyday, my parents like it here more and more. Daddy feels that it's the perfect place for them. They've been here for two months now and we feel a great sense of relief feeling that they are well cared for. Praying things continue in this direction as my parents and our family navigate this unknown future. But today.......life is good!

The staff member who conducted our tour was very professional and knowledgeable. The place was beautiful and clean. The eating area was nice as well. I was shown a room that would suite my parents. The tour was complete and from that visitation I would have had no problem with my parents moving in there. I chose another place because I had three references for the other community and I decided to go with that. I knew the people who had actually used that facility and that's who they recommended.

It was a beautiful place with very friendly compassionate workers. One suggestion would be to make sure when shopping, that you get a clear idea of the procedure, if your family member declines in health. I would recommend that people check it out, as it is a good place.
