My stay here was horrible. Most of the staff was there just for a paycheck. PT was a joke. The cockroach that ran out from under my bed clenched it.

I would not recommend this health care facility to anyone. Very under staffed and mismanaged, 70% of the CNA''S that show up are cold, rude and have their earbuds in & can''t respond to much needed request! I have several examples of residents sitting in their own feces for hours while 3-4 aids sit at their nurses station eating, Sleeping or listening to phones while the resident is a few feet from their station! All complaints to upper management falls on deaf ears, over and over...... The food and portions are very questionable also! Many times it could take an hour just to get a cup of ice.... That''s enough for now even though I have more I will say later!! s

My loved one had a recent stay at Pelican, they made us both feel like family, everyone was warm and friendly, most importantly, the entire staff was very kind, caring and encouraging to him. I highly recommend this facility due to the level of care received and the general care and concern of the staff for the patients.
Read moreI loved Pelican Health and the entire staff! The people there was super nice passionate and very caring! My mom was there for Rehab and they treated my mom wonderful! Therapy was great and very help! They really cared and treated us like family. Very knowledgeable and caring.
I’ve been working here through agency, Staff is welcoming. Everyone comes together on the floor to make sure the residents are taken care of. They even reward the CNA’S with gift cards and lunch, especially during the holiday season. If you’re a CNA I recommend working at pelican on Randolph.

My mother paid privately for the month following a hospital stay due to denial of rehab authorization from health insurance. Insurance approved appeal and authorized her stay in December of 2021. They quickly cashed her check and did not bill her insurance until now, she left mid Jan. During her stay, she went several weeks without nebulizer treatments, waited hours when using the call button and sat in soiled briefs daily. Extremely rude and unavailable staff except for a few CNAs and Tammy up front. Administrator never responded to emails and phone calls were often ignored and not returned despite my almost daily visits. PT and OT was inconsistent and lasted 15-20 mins a few times a week even though Medicare authorized 590 mins weekly. Dinner was typically late and cold. Doctor visited ONCE and could never be reached. My mother couldn’t walk and needed consistent therapy to regain mobility and most of her time was spent in bed. Discharge was a nightmare, medications were missing from the prescriptions. Transport never showed, had reschedule discharge date. Then, they kept her 6750 and never billed insurance. Completely unethical business practices, we are still fighting this. This was a hellacious and traumatic experience for my mother and Do not recommend until corporate comes in or the appropriate authority to revamp their care and professionalism. My heart goes out to those patients there without any loved ones to advocate for them.
