My mother is currently a resident at Avamere at Cheyenne. In the beginning, I would have rated this facility at a 1. But I worked with corporate and now it's a 5. The biggest thing is to just make sure that when they do an evaluation that they give you the actual price it will be and to not let them try and change things once you get there in person. People actually lost their jobs for what they did, so I believe that it will not happen again. Other than that, things are positive for my mother at Avamere at Cheyenne.
Read moreAvamere at Cheyenne is better than most places I've visited in the last two years. They are building a new wing that should be opening soon. The only problems we've had are the debit mix-ups that we have finally solved. Just keep an eye on the billing.

My loved one lived here until her level of care needs changed and we had to move her. It was a great place and we both really liked it. It's a nice facility, clean/housekeeping was great, staff was friendly. However, right after we moved her, there was a huge change in staff. The director and several other management personnel all left at the same time. It kind of made me wonder what was actually going on, but I'm not sure. All I can say is that our experience here was great and my loved one didn't want to move. If they had been able to provided the level of care that she needed to transition to, she would still be here.

[name removed], who led our tour, was great. She took the time above and beyond to explain not only about Avamere, but also about other places and what we should look for when touring. She was open to our questions even after the tour, whatever we needed, whether we went with Avamere or not. She still keeps in touch with me, which is great. Ultimate for my family member's needs, it was not a fit. They had a smoking section that was off-putting to him. And they also had a smaller elevator, which made him a bit claustrophobic.

Avamere cares about their Residents lives and well being. Many caregivers have been at this community for years enabling them to give the personal touch required. I would recommend friends and family!
