Beautiful premises! My resident friend’s apartment is lovely, and I would be happy living there myself, if needed.

I wanted to tell my experience with Atria Park of Great Neck regarding the care for my mother for the short time she was there. Mindy Siegel, the resident sales person, was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Dayna Fleisher, the resident director, was also very helpful and responsive in getting my mom from the hospital to atria, and trying to arrange the necessary services for her during her stay. Aside from them I found the actual day to day care for my mom neglectful and indifferent. I believe that this neglect ( including indifference to whether she ate anything at all on a given day) ultimately accelerated her death. If you are in relatively good health you should be ok, but if you actually need real care you are in trouble. I also experienced the perfect example of corporate greed and insensitivity. If your loved one passes away don’t waste time arranging for the funeral or grieving - you better get right over there and clean out the apartment or you will be continuously billed for apartment rent for a dead person

Our mother had lived at another Atria for some years and benefitted greatly. When she needed more care she came to Atria Park and we couldn’t have made a better decision. From the receptionist to the caregiving team to the housekeepers and rest of the staff - EVERYONE not only cared truly for our mother, cared about their work — and cared for us the visitors. We can’t thank you enough for helping our mother end her days in as lovely and loving an atmosphere as one might hope to find. Special shout-out to the remarkable Mindy Siegel, who not only guided us to find the perfect apartment but was there every step of the way, going out of HER way over and over again to support our family. I write this to Mindy and to all of you with infinite gratitude.

If you''re only looking for a glorified hotel then this might be for you. Consider a luxury hotel first, you will get apt more for less. They have no experience with the elderly. They have absolute no knowledge of simple first aid. Their procedure is to call an ambulance and send to hospital regardless. I doubt anyone has been informed how to perform CPR or any medical attention! You must have family members to insure residents are being taken care of. Yes there are levels of care for much more money such as : if you are need of a bottle of water or a simple snack that will cost to $10.00. You must crawl down to get fed .. no exceptions ! Simple
