I have chosen The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry for my wife because of their friendliness, the number of people that are there, their activities, and its proximity to my existing house. For what I needed, everything was fine. It's not like one is far superior to the other, it was more the people and the comfortable feeling there. The girl at the front desk was awesome.

At this time, October 2023, I do not recommend this facility. Multiple errors happen daily. Management is trying but failing to right the ship. Front line staff is nice but it does not appear to be enough help. They’ve hired the GA minimum and not a person more, I think. The residents enjoy the giant crossword puzzles, but they’ve done each puzzle 4 times, and mgmt is too cheap to purchase a new book. The food is not great and sometimes inedible. The place is depressing. My relative was there for 5 months before the apartment floor was mopped (supposed to be done weekly). On and on and on… look elsewhere until this becomes a smooth sailing ship.
Read moreI would recommend The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry to others. Everyone at this facility was polite and thoughtful and helped with everything that we needed upon move in. We loved all of the events and crafts that they had planned for the residents.

I toured The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry. They had a wide variety of people there. I liked the energy of the people that work there, they had the patients up and doing things while I was there. They were out on the balcony having a picnic. I liked the fact that they had a geriatric doctor that came in once a month, or once a quarter, and they also help them out with other doctors' appointments and that sort of stuff. The staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful, and they seem to know all their patients. I have looked at the meals, but I have not actually tasted them. The place was really clean, it was well-kept, and organized. The rooms were not as big as I would have liked, but they were big enough and had everything that was needed.
Read moreWe had a good tour at The Phoenix. The tour guide was helpful and informative. They just didn't have any rooms available that were a good fit for my mom at the time when we were looking.
