Where can I begin, should I start with my Dad lying in a pool of urine when I arrived? Or should I begin with the fact that my Dad's room was ice cold because there was a gaping hole in the wall where there was an A/c unit. I won't focus on the horrible disgusting food they gave him. Or the fact that there were tons of residents arguing with staff, threatening to call the police, because they weren't fed or treated right. My Dad had bruises on his face, which appeared to be caused by someone squeezing his face together. Some staff were nicer than others, but I could not get over how scared my Dad was of them, and the fact that the clothes I bought him kept going missing. This place will be reported by me to every authority willing to losten.

My mother and my sister were placed in respite care twice at Ashbrook and I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. At the end of the first visit the Recreational Coordinator, Rifka Moyal provided me with a detailed observation and assessment of my mother and sister, this is something that my other facility never provided. On the second visit the staff gave my mother and sister a huge welcome back. I was surprised they remembered them.

I have been very hesitant to write this review because I understand the demand for care required for some patients at nursing facilities can be overwhelming. However, my husband has been a patient since Aug. 19th and 98% of the time that I have tried to reach him by phone, it has been impossible. I don''t understand why whomever goes in his room to clean or whatever move his phone where he can''t reach it!! It''s ridiculous! He''s had 3 phone numbers and everyday I have to go thru the front desk to speak with him. At the price we are paying for private care, this is unacceptable!! He has complained that his head hurts and has discomfort on his right side for the past 2 days and has received no care. Unacceptable!! I would not recommend this facility to anyone. I will however, compliment his social worker Lynn for her hard work, in her assistance in working with the VA on his behalf. This place is the pits!! I wouldn''t send my dog there. The care is horrible. State needs to investigate!! Patients being washed in cold water, how inconsiderate!! No response when patients call out! An outside worker had to help my husband 2day, while the staff stood around talking!! I''m reporting to the state.

Mi experiencia en Ashbrook fue muy buena todas las enfermeras y en especial las asistentes de las enfermeras herminia y eva son muy buenas y hacen muy bien su trabajo y el personal de rehabilitación tambien todas son muy buenas me hacian sentir muy comoda cuando iba al area de las terapias todas son muy buenas y hacen un buen trabajo y te tratan como mucho amor y paciencia en especial Alex, Abby, Abbey, son muy cariñosas y tienen mucha paciencia son excelentes tratan de q tu tiempo en terapias sea agradable aunque todas en general son muy buenas y ponen todo de su parte para que hagas todas tus terapias bien y con entusiasmo... no me puedo quejar me trataron todas muy bien hasta el personal de limpieza y de la lavandería me trataron muy bien me siento muy agradecida por todo es un lugar muy bueno para la Rehabilitación lo recomiendo
