- Medication supervision, courtesy of a licensed nurse

- Group and one-on-one counseling for residents’ families
- Monitored entries and exits
Both communities offer 24-hour emergency response and access to trained staff whenever residents need it. Assisted living and memory care resident alike live maintenance-free lifestyles, courtesy of the community’s dedicated staff. Monthly rent covers maintenance services, including:

Housekeeping
-
Trash removal
-
Daily bed-making

-
General apartment maintenance
Meal preparation is part of the maintenance-free lifestyle at Arbor Terrace, courtesy of their award-winning Dining with Dignity program. The Dining with Dignity program is included with monthly rent for each resident, giving them access to three gourmet meals a day served in the dining room. On-site chefs are specially trained to prepare meals with common challenges in mind like difficulty chewing or swallowing. To make mealtimes as fun and worry-free as possible, they use ingredients that pose little risk for choking and aspiration so residents can dine with delight.
Have allergies or other special dietary restrictions? That’s nothing to be concerned about at Arbor Terrace Cascade. The kitchen staff is trained to accommodate special dietary restrictions, preparing meals with substitute ingredients by resident request.
Apartments are spacious, offering enough room for residents to feel at home without being overwhelmed. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How does Arbor Terrace at Cascade determine my level of care?
A person’s level of care is defined by how much assistance they need throughout the day. For example, some individuals need assistance with getting dressed and others need help managing their medications. If a person has any chronic medical conditions or memory loss, their level of care will reflect those needs.
To determine each incoming resident’s level of care, Arbor Terrace at Cascade uses a complimentary wellness assessment. During the assessment, the care team will review the person’s health and medical history to find out how Arbor Terrace can best suit their needs.
Determining a person’s level of care is an in-depth process, taking many factors into consideration. Families can learn more about the pre-admission procedures for determining levels of care by using the link above to make an inquiry.
Q: Will Medicare cover the cost of my stay at Arbor Terrace?
Unfortunately, Arbor Terrace residents may not use their Medicare coverage to pay for assisted living. Designed for retirees and young adults with disabilities, Medicare finances health care expenses like hospital inpatient care. Because Arbor Terrace at Cascade is a non-medical community (and does not offer skilled nursing care), residents are not permitted to pay with Medicare.
Fortunately, there are other ways for families to finance long-term care. For more information about payment plans, veterans discounts, and other cost-saving options, please use the link above to make an inquiry.
Q: I am a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. How can I pay for Arbor Terrace at Cascade?
While Medicare and many private health insurance plans will not pay for assisted living, individuals who previously served in the military may benefit from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs’ (VA) Aid and Attendance Benefit. Those who are eligible for the Aid and Attendance Benefit may receive a monthly stipend to pay for long-term care, including non-medical assisted living.
The Aid and Attendance benefit is paid in conjunction with a person’s monthly VA pension and Social Security benefits to offset the costs of long-term care. To receive the award, a person must have honorable military service of at least 90 days; at least one day of service must take place during times of war, although recipients are not required to have seen combat, sustained an injury, or left the U.S. for deployment.
Recipients must need assistance with their activities of daily living to receive Aid and Attendance. For more information about the benefit’s specific requirements, veterans should contact their VA caseworker.
