If I could rate this facility a zero, I would. I just want to warn everyone who is thinking about sending someone here that this place is not what they try to make it look like. Very very poor care, substandard communication, not following rules of Michigan assisted living center standards. Missed medications, meals not brought to rooms when requested, constant medication problems and, sadly, lies from the employees in lower and higher positions.

I chose American House Wyoming for my mother. I don't like that nobody returns our calls. And now, they just fired two of their people - their chef and the medicine lady. They were supposed to get hospice in but I still haven't gotten a call about that. They should clean my mom's room more often than just once a week. They have a large turnaround of nurses that work there. So, they have very poor management. I had to take her to the doctor. I had to pick her up myself and put her in her wheelchair. Nobody offered to help me. If she pushes her call button, it takes them probably 15 to 20 minutes before they even come to her room.

My mother lived at American House Wyoming for 17 months. I would give them the worst possible score all the way around. She's been dealing with the bugs there since November, which is the primary reason we moved. The medication was never handled professionally or well either. It's been just a constant battle with the people there. She was in assisted living. They had a nice facility. It's just not clean. The staff was very hard to deal with. The turnover was very high and the management wouldn't call you back or make a habit of emailing back at 5:00, so you couldn't get a hold of them. Even if you tried to call, there was never anybody to answer the phone. They did some things, but they're not very inclusive with everybody. They're just not very good at what they do. They did bingo, and they'd bring in some singers.
