American House Lakeshore was nice, friendly, and clean. The rooms were a little bigger than the other ones we looked at, and they were very adequate. The staff during the tour was very nice and very straightforward about everything. They were having a music-type program with the people in memory care, which was well attended, and it seemed like they were enjoying it. The facility seemed to be well maintained. I noticed the carpeting was kind of needing repair, but they told me it's all being replaced with wooden floors. They had a fitness room and a library.

It's much newer than my current community. I just went there to check their prices, and I talked to a staff, but there's nothing I can do about the price. I would rate everything about the place a five, except for the cost, because it might scare a lot of people away. The staff members that I talked to were very nice and the facilities were very clean since it's so new.
