We lost our Mother a couple years back and Dad needed a community to become a part of. American House provided this and much more. He lived in the independent side for the last two to three years. Plenty of events and social gatherings to keep him busy. What was even better about American House was that they have the next steps in mind. Assisted living. We all knew that at some point and time Dad would transition into this. Well that day came and very abruptly. Tim at American House was very understanding of our situation and really guided us through the process. I highly recommend American House Cedarlake in Plainfield.

From what we have seen of the activities they look great, but our loved one does not participate in them. We gave the value for cost a 4 because it keeps increasing. The reason we gave #5 a lower rating is due to the lack of staff and not anything else! Honestly...it's location that we enjoy the most about the community! She is safe and happy there! We would recommend American House Cedarlake to other families based on the experience we have had so far.
