I had a lovely lunch at Wyndham Lakes today with an old friend. The food was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. He took me on a tour of his room and Wyndham Lakes. The property is nice Andi a safe neighborhood. In a few years I’ll probably move there

The Wyndham Lakes team has been a joy to work with. The employees are second to none, and I truly felt accepted in my first week of employment. The residents are kind and friendly, and I appreciate the openness of the campus! Lots of fresh air and the wildlife is a big plus.
They have a very dedicated staff, and we appreciate the variety and quality of activities offered. Everyone there treats us like family.
At Wyndham Lakes, I did like that everything was located on one floor, there was no upstairs. I liked that some of the rooms had a screened porch. At Wyndham Lakes, I did like that everything was located on one floor, there was no upstairs. I liked that some of the rooms had a screened porch. Its appearance was OK, but to me, it seemed dark in the interior. Two of the common rooms were just dark, dark wood. I guess maybe that was on purpose. The lighting was dark. They had a media room, which was lovely. Maybe they were boxing up Christmas stuff, but it seemed like I walked past storage stuff that could have been placed somewhere else on the way to the media room. They do have in-house pet birds, which I thought was cute, but maybe they could have been located somewhere else. I saw nobody paying them any mind. I liked that they had their patients wear an alert kind of thing around their neck, in case they were to fall. The individual I spoke with was a corporate person from further down south who had come up to assist. The reason being that it was very busy. I couldn't help but think that they were busy because they had personnel issues. The facility was clean, but it was not appealing to me.

My mom has spent 5 good and happy years in the Memory Care section at Wyndham. She just celebrated 92 years with generally good health.The staff specific to her area, has been attentive and caring over all these years. While she is unable to take meals in the large dining room, there is a small dining area specific to her group and food is always hot, tasty and the same they serve to the larger general residents. She is well cared for and while does have Alzheimer’s she is always smiling whenever family drops by to visit. Becky K
