I had lunch with mom yesterday and the food was good (the menus are always good). They take good care of her. They do activities every day. She enjoys the church activities and the puzzles. They also have a little band/musicians that come in. She enjoys all that. The staff are very, very friendly and attentive.

I just visited Woodland Village Senior Community today and decided that's where I want to go. I just like the place that it was situated in. It's built on an old golf course, and the walking paths were quite beautiful. Inside, it looked well-maintained. As the residents move out, they are redoing it top to bottom, putting in new appliances, new flooring, and a new bathroom. The people there were most pleasant. They had everything I could think of, helpful things. I toured independent living, and it's just a step away from assisted living. So, it's all right there. I like the way they address the food. The living facilities seems so easy in the way of helpful things. Meaning, they have someone that comes in, makes up my bed once a week and they have two meals a day, a continental breakfast and lunch or dinner, either one. The menu in the activities was pretty much what I wanted. Overall, it seems to have almost everything. Every question that I addressed, they seem to have been taken care of. The staff was most pleasant. I was talked to by two people and both of them were equally as pleasant as each other. They were a joy to be around. They were just very nice. The facility was very nice, with brightly lit rooms, and each room that a new person is going into is fitted out with brand new stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, toilets, sinks, cabinets, and new flooring.

Woodland Village Senior Community is hospital affiliated. All employees are immunized. They have lots of activities. It has some church sponsorship, so it's a little expanded community there. That's probably what we were leaning towards for mom. It was a little older building. It was not as nice as some of the others, but there is construction in multiple areas. They're remodeling whenever they get a vacancy, so I think they're making some effort towards improvement. They had very good cookies. My mother has friends who live there, and they're out and about in the community through visits, shopping, bible study and all. There's an outdoor area where everybody goes to walk. The rooms were fairly standard.
Read moreWoodland Village is a pace to live in the golden years. The staff is very Friendly, and will go out of there way please you. Woodland has a whole lot of activities . For all the people. The food is very good as well as a nice new dining room with table cloths and Napkins.
Woodland Village would have been perfect had we not toured the place we ultimately chose. Our end choice was a premier facility beyond any that we toured in the activities they offered and the common areas they had for socializing.
It was very good. That would be my domestic partner's first choice only because they have a community of visually impaired people. He lost his sight two years ago. They had a dozen or more visually impaired, sight challenged people for a number of years. That would be very comfortable for him. ...
It was very good. That would be my domestic partner's first choice only because they have a community of visually impaired people. He lost his sight two years ago. They had a dozen or more visually impaired, sight challenged people for a number of years. That would be very comfortable for him. Unfortunately, they have no facilities available at all for him. I think they have two rooms left to renovate and they've done a beautiful job renovating. What we liked about it, was it was so bright and so open, with a beautiful outdoor patio to eat off of, lots of wildlife all around, and beautiful trails to walk on with an aide. It was gorgeous. It's very pretty, way back from the road, and very quiet. We liked it. The staff was wonderful. Debbie was so kind and so caring and the medical person came in. She spent a considerable amount of time with him, reassuring him about the whole drug regimen, and that they would be able to handle it. No headaches for him, that was good. We were there late morning, and they were getting ready for lunch. A lot of people were going to the dining room, we asked about the food and they said, it's wonderful, but we didn't see an actual activity. It was just beautiful. The setting is lovely. It's an older facility, but they have completely revamped it, and it's very up to date.
