My brother has been in Wood Haven for a week now. It's very clean, very modern, and very appealing with their furnishings in the room. The staff is very, very friendly and professional. The food seemed good, and there were also alternate choices if something didn't appeal to you. They have activities, laundry, health, and transportation services. The rooms are good. Some were smaller than others, and some had a private bath and some did not, but all of them have windows, closet space, and Direct TV; so that was nice too.

My mother moved into Wood Haven Senior Living. We like the amount of programming throughout the day rather than her last assisted living where they just let her sleep on her couch all day. This new community is actively engaging her all day, getting her up, strongly encouraging participation in all activities, and they have more choices of activities. The staff is all trained in memory care. From what I've been told, there are more food choices than what she's used to. They have two or three choices. It sounds like it will be fun and good. They are very nice. They asked what her favorite food was for her first meal there, and they were gonna make that. We went in person, but we were unable to go inside. One of the directors did a Facetime tour for us while we were there due to COVID. She is in a companion room, but it seems very big from what we've seen through pictures. It's larger than we thought. Each resident has a bed, a chair, a dresser, and a night table. It's big and bright and has lots of windows. I like the staff engagement. I like that everyone is trained in memory care and that they're also loving and welcoming to her and us. It's great. It doesn't smell when you walk in. It has a fresh smell, it's open, it's clean, and there's someone at the front desk all day. It's nice, welcoming, and refreshing. I haven't heard any complaints yet regarding food. It's beautiful. They're busy all day.
