First I would say, if you care about your loved one then don't take them here. I've walked into Mom's room and here are a few situations that I observed. Dirty diaper under her bed covers. Poop on the top and bottom of the toilet seat. Puke in her garbage can and in her bed as she laid in it.. This time went to hospital and was dehydrated. Another time walked in and Mom was laying in her bed moaning in pain. Went to hospital and her body was septic. Urine had been smelling bad for over a week and they never took any actions towards it. Which later I found out that smell in her urine was a yeast infection that led to her body being septic. It turned into an infected kidney. 40 plus days in the hospital. Both times I found her in these situations and had to make them call the ambulance. I can only imagine what would of happened to Mom if I wasn't around. I can tell you the communication between people working the floor and administration is a zero. Terrible administration.

The Marketing Director at Where the Heart is, [name removed], was amazing and so helpful with getting my mother in law into the facility and situated. She has continued to be very helpful, even months after she was moved in, with getting things situated. The housekeeping and the care managers have been wonderful. The activities and the meals and dining are great. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Mom lives in Where the Heart is Assisted Living and Memory Care. The real stand out there is the layout. It is very conducive to the resident's interaction. There are very few hallways, but large gathering spaces with outdoor patios on the first and second floors, beautiful gardens, a central meeting area, and smaller dining areas in every wing. They've had a pretty good staff. They've changed ownership and right now the problem has been staffing. It's really hard in the general Seattle area to keep staffing. The cost of living is high so they've had a lot of turnovers. Their activities are minimal. They have had trouble hiring an activities coordinator again. They don't have a special room for activities at this location, but one thing that's kind of unique in this place is every room opens up into a great area as opposed to a hallway. There are two wings. Each wing has two floors and each wing is separate. They have a dining area, a small kitchen, a gathering area, and an outdoor covered balcony or patio that people can congregate on, as well as some really pretty grounds that they can interact with.

To each and everyone: The end of summer party was such a HUGE success!! The food, decorations, music were all so special. Mostly it was the extra love the staff and all the helpers displayed to all of us lucky enough to be invited! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

It's a much better fit for my loved ones.
