We had an in-person tour of Wellington Place of Hartford. The lady who took us through was very, very nice. When you walk in, there's a nice big fireplace with a sitting area, which is kind of welcoming. We walked into the dining room, and the residents were eating. The kitchen's right off to your left. The place is nice. It's an older building, so it needs some updating. I didn't care for the idea of having to share a room with another person, so that was kind of a downfall because my mother doesn't want to share with anyone, which I understand. My first impression was that I was not impressed. It was not very well kept.
Read moreWellington Place was one of the smallest communities we looked at. It seemed like a good place. It was a nice facility, with a mixed population of people with different levels of care needs. It was clean and seemed to be well run.
They are pretty good at providing care. They are doing a good job with the Covid -19 virus. The food is good. My dad is in a shared room, which is adequate. They have an outdoor patio space for the residents. The staff is friendly.
