This place gets worse all the time. My mom''s room has been roach infested for 3 years. It has been professionally sprayed. We have personally sprayed, placed traps, gel, and powders with no success. Wonder what the kitchen is like. Housekeeping skips her most weeks. They are getting stingy with toliet paper. Oh yes, the rent has gone up about $200 a year since she moved in but no service improvements. One more increase and she will no longer be able to live here. She already has nothing left of pension and SS. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They are remodeling after 30 yrs, but the building before was deplorable. Will this also increase the rent. Management does not need to respond to this because it never changes anything anyway.

These are the slum lords of Evans GA! From bad management and workers not even showing up to work to garbage literally left all over the hallways (including the soiled diapers of elderly residents!) and “oh we ran out” of bacon (the only breakfast meat on the menu) and waiting (so far) for a faucet handle for my bathroom faucet, the best I can say is that this place truly is motivating insofar as being physically able to move away from here. Horrible conditions and even worse excuses for why they exist. “Well, Corporate…..” seems to be the only go to reply!

This place is going downhill fast. They don’t have a proper leader on staff and they just had GM position open up and immediately shot down their best chance at having the right person for the job. Not even letting them come in for an interview. The residents and staff need someone who will do what needs to be done and care for them, which they do not have now. Would not recommend this place to anybody much less someone I care about.

My husband and I moved into Holiday Washington Commons two months ago and really love it. The staff has been very helpful. I made sure to ask a lot of questions before we moved here and that was helpful. Our "Cabin Steward" ( housekeeper) does a great job. His schedule for us is Tuesday around 10am and he is timely and does a thorough job of cleaning/vacuuming. The food is delicious, with four choices for each meal. The servers are very patient with us and it is clear that they love us. We are all like a large family. I would certainly recommend Holiday Washington Commons to others for consideration. It is for independent seniors, so it's important that the residents (and their families) understand that if help is needed it is available, but must be requested.

We have been here in Holiday Washington Commons for about a month and a half now and we're doing just fine. We were able to get what we wanted, which was two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's roomy, bright, and clean. The other residents are delightful people. The staff here are phenomenal. The food is outstanding. I don't have any unkind comments to make at all. I am thrilled as I can to be living here, and I'm comfortable and happy. It's expensive, but it's worth every penny to us because it's just what we want. We've got family nearby, which is wonderful, but we are also able to do whatever we want, whenever we want. The staff is caring and loving. Some of us can be difficult sometimes, and they take it in stride. We get housekeeping here. They come to the apartment once a week and vacuum and clean the bathrooms. They offer sheets, towels and wash clothes if we want them. They'll change your bed if you want them, too. The mealtimes start at 8, 12, and 5, and if you're not down there, it makes it difficult for the staff because they come around and give you everything in order. You start with coffee, then juice, and cereal. With lunches, it's salads and drinks. They have four different menu items for every single meal. They take your order, take it back to the kitchen, and bring it to your table. So it's a full-hour experience of eating. The quality of the food is outstanding as far as I'm concerned. They are very diversified and different. There's never anything on the menu that I wouldn't choose. I've enjoyed every meal I've had. They have activities for folks if they want to do it. They have a movie afternoon, card games, bingo, and exercise activities. There's a physical therapist here who will work with you once you get signed up if you need it. That's also charged to the insurance. If you need something in your apartment, they will come and help you. For instance, when we first moved in, we had trouble with our hot water, and they fixed it in a day without any problems. They came and did what needed to be done and took care of it. My husband and I are delighted to be here. There was one thing that disappointed a lot of us. They had some beautiful pictures hanging on the hallways. They're beautiful frames, and they're like pictures from yesteryear. It's really old. Well, they were painting the walls and they took all the pictures down and took them away, and that was very disappointing. For the most part, it is clean. They feed us on dishes, chinaware, glassware, and silver, and it's always spotless clean. The tables are set for us when we go down to eat and they clean off the tables. They wash the floor in the dining room every day. I think it's very nice. With activities, there might be more things, but they work hard at keeping people occupied if they want to be. They have different activities, and you can go or not. I would equate my whole experience here is being on a cruise ship on land. If I want to go somewhere, I can. If I don't, I don't have to, and I can stay in my room. They have a pool table, chess games, and puzzles.

My dad is staying at Holiday Washington Commons. Everything is good, but they just have terrible maintenance and there's no follow-through on maintenance requests. The place is older, but they are in the process of remodeling all open areas and then eventually the apartments. The thing I like about this experience is the friendships that my dad has made, being able to sit around tables and talk with other people. The dining area is awesome. They do get 3 cooked meals a day, but it's about 50:50. Some of the residents like it, some don't. But they offer enough options that if you don't like what's being served, you have another choice. They have a walking path, a cafeteria, an activities room, a little theater room, a library, a barbershop/beauty shop, and a chapel. They do have a van that does transportation to and from doctor's appointments as well as grocery stores. They allow pets, too.
