Cannot say enough about the staff at VOP, especially JoAnn and her team including Stephanie. My family recently moved in from out of state and they have been so welcoming and accommodating. They even took special trips to shuttle her to and from my house prior to move-in. I am blown away with the care and overall service. It doesn''t feel like a business, but a true community. Thank you so much! ❤

My parents have been in IL for over two years and the food keeps getting worse. Also the maintenance staff has changed multiple times and takes shortcuts to keep HVAC units working because they all have aged out and need replaced at a cost that would impact management bonuses. It’s such an attractive facility but just not optimally managed. They are always short on staff but that’s the environment of senior care these days.

My loved one is currently a resident at Village on the Park Onion Creek. Overall, everything about the experience has been great so far at this facility. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The staff and quality of care are also great. My loved one chooses not to participate in the activities, but I do know that there are a lot that are offered. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
Read moreWe toured Village on the Park Onion Creek during our search for an Independent Living facility for our loved one. This facility was actually my first choice, bbut was just a little too out of distance for other family members. The cleanliness and friendliness were great!

My brother has moved into Village on the Park - Onion Creek. It's very well-kept and seems secure. It's very pretty, and outdoorsy. There's not a lot of other buildings around, it's very open. The room was empty, and that's what we're doing right now, trying to get furniture for it. The staff were all very welcoming, very helpful, and always available for questions. They play cards and have happy hour on Fridays at four. They have poker on Tuesdays. They have art classes, movie nights, and all kinds of things. The food is good for you, which means it doesn't taste really good. I think they have to watch the salt and things like that. I would say that's a good variety.

Village on the Park - Onion Creek is a nice facility. They had no pool. They had a very small athletic department, with maybe two or three machines. We looked at the apartments that they had in the main building, which we did not like. We looked at one of their villas, which was okay, but they had none available. The staff was excellent. She did a wonderful job of touring and selling the property.
