Worst place. Nurses are lazy and rude.

This is a much needed facility for our valley veterans. As a veteran myself I’m glad to have it. Unfortunately the Human Resources, nursing and dietary department are full of nepotism and cronyism. There will be certain staff that would get away without the everything such as med errors or refusing mandatory overtime. But if you aren’t part of their circle, you can count on getting a write up. Friends and family of the DON would make mistakes all the time and it would be quickly swept under the rug by the nursing supervisors. We had nurses that would transfer over from the prisons and they would transfer back after a few months because of the horrid working environment. The lady in charge of the HR, Donna, literally rang on my door bell throughout the day trying to serve me termination papers while me and my son were super sick. My husband ignored it because he thought it was some random lady selling Avon and Mary Kay. Anyways, I wouldn’t work here unless you are good with the department heads.

Nepotism and favoritism is strong here. Especially in building one and HR. If you aren’t on good terms with building one supervisor or her family in HR/ golden worker(s), you’re outta luck.
Admin here is a bad joke. Department management is not any better. It continues to surprise me that Darlene is still around, but then I remember that she has family in Human Resources, and suddenly it isn’t soo farfetched.
Customer service was excellent...
