Stay as far away from this chaos as you can. It starts at the top. Turnover is rampant. It’s an us versus them community. There is no respect or empathy. Credentials for aides is non existent. Workers do not respond, even to the alert system. I personally witnessed a man fall to the floor and the available aides barely looked up from their cell phones. The general manager is caustic at best. What ever happened to managers wandering around the facility saying hello and chatting with people. I’ve led a great professional life and I’ve got to say this was the worst experience of my life. Hold your loved ones close, they may be afraid to say anything.

When it comes to the overall experience, we do wish there was more availability when it comes to physical therapy, massage and case management - especially about VA case management connection. For the care services they seem to be disconnected with adapting to personal needs. I expected more advocacy on the part of staff. Instead it's the least involvement that looks uncaring.
Read moreOverall staff retention needs to improve. I would recommend to others. We've liked it so far. One negative is that nursing staff has a high turnover rate. But the staff seems to care about patient well-being. My loved one loves the food there.
The faculty and staff are amazing. They are kind and helpful. We love them all! Based off of our experience so far, we would absolutely recommend Truewood by Merrill Bradenton to anyone who is looking!
I absolutely loved Truewood in Bradenton and would've taken my dad there in a heart beat, but they did not have a great outside walking area. The people working at Truewood are by far the best.
