True Care Living is under new ownership, and the owner is doing a fabulous job remodeling. I feel that his ideas, techniques, and caring for the elderly is very good. He has pretty high standards. It was an old rundown place. It used to be an old military barracks, but he is really putting the time and effort into remodeling it. The tenants all seem really happy. My stepdad is actually very happy there. They have a nice game room that offers all sorts of different activities. They have different activities throughout the week for the residents. They have computers available, they have a little basketball for the ones that want to play basketball, they have a pinball machine, and they have a little country store for them to buy stuff at. It's all in the works. They're still working on it, but they're doing a fabulous job. It is an old building. It needs quite a bit of work, but the owner is working on it. He's started different sections of the buildings, and it looks really, really nice. It's a nice upgrade for the people, but as far as being compared to some other places, there's really no comparison because it is an older building. It's not all up-to-date and modern yet, but he is working on it. The prices are right. The staff treats my stepdad very well. My stepdad has a hard time swallowing their food. He choked a couple of times at the meal. Now they grind his food up for him. They make sure that it's good for him, so he doesn't choke again, and that means a lot. The fact that they do pay attention and they did something about it, that says a lot to me. They're not just letting the man choke.
Read moreThe community was cold and awful. I wouldn't put my dog here. The rooms were stark with high ceilings, and felt very intuitional.
Very dirty facility, staff not very friendly, always shorthanded, visited this facility and it needs a lot of work inside and outside looks very run down and unkept!
Facility was clean, staff was very friendly all the residents seemed happy. I would definitely recommend to a family member.
Every staff member I've spoken with has been friendly and responsive to all questions asked of them. I haven't toured the facility as of yet because the wonderful people of True Care come see our clients and give them tours and help meet them where they are financially.
