Timberwood Assisted Living is conveniently located in Oklahoma City, OK, right in the heart of the American Midwest. The area is known for its kind citizens, affordable costs of living, and outstanding opportunities for fun and adventure. This trend continues at Timberwood, where residents will find the staff is friendly and personable while they deliver patient, compassionate care. Community members embrace the kind mentality of Oklahoma, welcoming new residents with a smile and friendly conversation from the moment they move in.
Retirement should give people a chance to explore their hobbies and interests without the worry of daily chores or responsibilities. Timberwood takes the stress out of life by providing weekly housekeeping, laundry services, and assistance with each resident’s activities of daily living. However much assistance a person receives at Timberwood depends on their individual level of care, thanks to the community’s individualized care programs and close attention to detail.
As people get older, their levels of care may change. They may need more help with their activities of daily living than they did when they moved in, or they may need memory care services to help them live with Alzheimer’s disease. Fortunately, Timberwood’s continuum of care philosophy makes it easy for residents to get the care they need without the hassle of moving, regardless of how their levels of care change. Residents can transition between independent and assisted living, or enroll in Alzheimer’s care if they develop memory impairments that require special attention.
However, exceptional long-term care is only the beginning of what makes Timberwood a popular place for people to retire. Fun and recreation are important parts of a fulfilling retirement and are as crucial to fulfillment as quality senior care. To make sure residents are staying active, meeting friends, and celebrating their identity, Timberwood offers a multitude of recreational activities and social events designed with residents in mind. These events create opportunities for community members to do the things they enjoy most, like arts and crafts or gardening.
While the community’s events change daily, their calendar may include social opportunities like:
- Lifelong learning opportunities (guest speakers, lectures, etc.)
- Fitness classes and exercise programs
- Arts and crafts sessions
- Pet therapy
- Live musical performances
- Bingo nights
- Board game competitions
- Classic movie screenings
Meals are another phenomenal chance for residents to get to know one another and spend time together. The on-campus restaurant services three meals a day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it easy for residents to maintain proper nutrition. The menu includes a new selection of meals daily, like savory pot roast, crunchy fried chicken, or tender sirloin steak. Kitchen staff members offer meal substitutions for people who need them, such as residents with special dietary needs (like gluten-free or vegetarian diets).
Whether a person’s priorities are getting help with their activities of daily living, enjoying three delicious meals a day, or staying in one place even when their care needs change, Timberwood Assisted Living provides a high quality of life unmatched by many other continuing care retirement communities in Oklahoma City. With highly-trained staff and a wide variety of services and amenities, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the community, regardless of their lifestyle preferences or priorities.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What are the costs associated with Timberwood Assisted Living? Is there a “one-size-fits-all” fee for all residents?
Everyone’s care needs are different, and the costs of senior care at Timberwood are directly impacted by each person individually. The costs of care include a person’s room and board, weekly housekeeping, laundry services, and three meals a day, while a la carte services (like rehabilitation) incur an additional fee that is not included in the base rental agreement. The community does not charge everyone the same fee every month, instead of adjusting each person’s final costs of care according to their floor plans and their level of care. The best way to plan ahead financially for a senior living community like Timberwood is to get a personalized price quote and work with the residence to discuss payment options. Prospective residents can get a monthly cost estimate for Timberwood by using the “Get Pricing” tool above, or they can schedule a tour and ask about pricing.
Q: Is Timberwood Assisted Living pet-friendly?

Even though we are no longer using Homestead of Del City for our loved one, we found that everyone there was very helpful and polite.
I toured this community and it was good. They were very polite and professional.
This facility is great! All is well
Our family is very pleased and absolutely loves it at the Homestead of Del City.
We thought the rooms at Homestead of Del City were very small for the price and what the community had to offer. It was an older building, and farther from where we live as well. It wasn’t a bad place - it just wasn't for us.
We had a good tour at Homestead of Del City. But I didn’t like where the room was that they had available.
