My friend will be moving into The Woodlands by Heritage Retirement Communities. They have remodeled it and it's up to date. They had the new modern chandeliers and new carpets. It was nice. They had the furniture, so you didn't have to bring the bed, which was kind of nice. You could bring whatever else you want in the room. The staff was nice. They were accommodating and they helped us. They worked with us with what my friend could afford. They had a nice dining room and activity room. It was cozy because it kind of goes in a circle. It was open, so you don't feel like it's just gonna swallow you up.

I went here. I was impressed with that. I liked the fact that it was very intimate. The memory care was on the third floor. I visited it twice, and I liked the fact that they were doing crafts, and that everyone was engaged. They had good music, and they displayed their work, too. Everybody seemed t...

I went here. I was impressed with that. I liked the fact that it was very intimate. The memory care was on the third floor. I visited it twice, and I liked the fact that they were doing crafts, and that everyone was engaged. They had good music, and they displayed their work, too. Everybody seemed to be having a great time. The facility itself was very nice and very well done. All the rooms are accessible where everybody can see everybody, and that kind of thing. I like that environment. That's nice. The staff I met were very engaging and open. The residents seemed to be involved and engaged. One lady said she really enjoyed the food. It was close to the library and a shopping mall, so it's like a bustling metropolis around there, that kind of thing. For me, that's more important than having a garden. I think people like to see activities.

The memory floor is outstanding and everyone that works there is great. We picked this community, because It was closer to where our brother lives. Better and easier for him, actually. The Woodlands of Shaker Heights was a wonderful place, but it wasn't a good fit for my mother because it didn't provide 24-hour medical care. They had a cafeteria-type dining area. It was small but it was very nice.
