I like Escalante at Willow Creek for my brother. I like that one because it's a smaller community, not big. They gave a pretty good price relatively speaking. The facilities are very nice, very clean, and very orderly. They really show a very professional facility, and a very caring facility. The people working there were very professional, very friendly, and very caring. They have good meals, too.

I have quite a few bones to pick. First of all, they never do any activity with the residence in memory care they are constantly plopped in front of the TV when I go visit my love one, and on top of that, you walk in and see the CNA sitting down on their phones while you have residence asleep flopping over, watching TV. The fact that the CNA‘s in there does not speak English.( there is nothing wrong with that.) but if we can’t communicate about my loved ones care , how is my love One who has dementia supposed to communicate with them I had to wait 20 minutes just to communicate through a phone app. I still made know progress communicating with the aid . We will be pulling my Love one out soon .As we have already started to look for a facility that can accommodate our needs and wants for our Loved one .

We will be moving my loved one out to find another facility. They worked with house doctors and with my loved one in memory care, it seemed like their objective was to get my loved one totally sedated and zonked out to make it easier for them to handle. My wife had concerns about bruises on one of the residents, and then they didn't like that and they accused my wife of pulling my loved ones hair and then wouldn't allow my wife on the property. When calling the resident, the phone at the facility has terrible reception and we are not able to hear my loved one at all.

Just didn't feel the right connection for us while on the tour, it was nice but many residents seemed to be unhappy and not as cheerful as expected. Not certain what was the issue or if was just an off day, but did not end up choosing this facility for my loved one.

I was impressed with Escalante at Willow Creek and the layout of the rooms. They had a central dining area that the rooms opened into. They had a couple of nice little areas for the residents to go outside (if they wanted). My primary reason for not pursuing that one is I just felt like it was going to be quite a drive for me to visit my mom. Otherwise, I really liked it. I thought it was a nice facility. I like the little courtyards that they had, and they were kind of indoors. They had a salon onsite, if you want to get your nails and hair done. They had a library. They also offer to drive people to different activities. They do a trip up the canyon or that kind of thing. It was a lot more affordable than others. I actually liked the facility. I just didn't feel like it was going to be very convenient because it's on the other side of the valley from where I am at. It literally would have been a 25 to 30 minute drive. I only met with the director, but she was great.
