Assisted living and memory care services can be helpful for many older adults, but some retirees prefer a “less is more” approach to senior care. The Wentworth at Parklane understands the Salt Lake City community’s need for quality independent living programs and aims to provide with their long-term care services.
At the Wentworth at Parklane Independent Living community, older adults can receive many of the same services they would at an assisted living facility. However, their care routines are less rigid and they receive assistance as-needed. The community offers a wide variety of independent living apartments, including one and two-bedroom floor plans. All of their senior housing options come with outstanding amenities, including:
- Private bathrooms
- Private bedrooms
- Walk-in closets
- Housekeeping services
- In-unit kitchenettes
Like an assisted living facility, the Wentworth at Parklane services home-style, nutritious meals in their three dining rooms daily. When residents choose not to prepare meals in their independent living apartments, they can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner in a dining room with their friends.
In addition to the Wentworth at Parklane’s dining rooms, the community offers an in-house theater, an activity room, and a library. Residents can go to the facility’s on-site barbershop and beauty salon for a quick trim without leaving the campus. These amenities take senior living at the Wentworth to the next level, making it stand apart from other independent living communities in the area.
Independent living communities like the Wentworth at Parklane offer an exceptional alternative to assisted living services for older adults who want to downsize, but short-term care programs are available by request for those who receive personal care at home. When a person receives care from a family member, they may need a temporary caregiver while theirs is away. Individuals who need short-term care can stay at the Wentworth at Parklane, enjoying the retirement community while they receive temporary personal care.
When a person decides to sell their home and wants to downsize, community-based living can be an excellent next step. Communities like the Wentworth at Parklane aim to bridge the gap between living at home and living in an assisted living community with their approach to senior care. To learn more about the Wentworth at Parklane retirement community, their housekeeping services, their senior housing options, or their community-based living programs, prospective residents can tour the facility and see it in-person. The community’s staff are happy to answer questions about their long-term care programs and explain how their senior living community differs from a memory care or assisted living community. Touring the facility is free, and prospective residents can enjoy a complimentary lunch during the experience.

The people who live and work here truly treat one another like family. This is a caring, vibrant and very friendly community. The activity director provides a diverse and engaging number of opportunities for residents to be entertained and/or stimulated and she both encourages and welcomes input from us! We have a regular schedule of weekly games (i.e., Rummikub, Mahjong, Mexican Train, Bingo, Bridge, Hand and Foot, and other card games) and plenty of opportunities to participate in a variety of outings (i.e., to grocery/retail stores, museums, restaurants, special tours, gardens, dog parks, hikes, picnics in the mountains, theaters, and more). We have a fully equipped exercise room plus five days of professionally led classes are offered. Other activities include things like our Book club, short story readings, current events with a local lecturer/professor, Ted Talk discussions, Art classes, crafts, and several other unique resident led groups. All this gives us an abundance of physical, intellectual and creative stimuli for us to enjoy as we please. Additionally, our dining room features delicious daily features at each meal along with a wonderful salad bar. Best of all, they offer an extensive alternate menu from which to choose if the special is not to your liking. Park Lane Senior Living is a beautiful home and I'm very happy living here!
