At the Village at Keizer Ridge senior living community, seniors can live a life of luxury during their golden years. The facility is a full-spectrum retirement community, offering assisted living, independent living, and memory care programs to their residents. Most residents come to the facility for their long-term care services, but short-term stays are available for temporary respite care. Most residents living in the assisted living community, but older adults living with Alzheimer’s disease may be placed in the memory care unit to ensure their safety and well-being. The independent living facility is suitable for seniors who are largely independent, and who require minimal personal care to live a healthy and happy life.
Before a person moves into the Village at Keizer RIdge, they work with a staff member to determine their level of care. The staff member conducts a pre-admission assessment to ensure each resident receive the compassionate care they deserve. Residents who need daily personal care and assistance with their activities of daily living are usually placed in the assisted living facility, while older adults living with Alzheimer’s disease usually live in the memory care community. The facility’s assisted living services are not tailored for residents with dementia and short-term memory loss, making the memory care community more ideal for those with Alzheimer’s disease.
Although compassionate care and professional staff are important parts of quality senior care, having fun is also crucial to exceptional retirement living. At the Village at Keizer Ridge senior living community, senior care does not stop at housekeeping and assistance with each resident’s activities of daily living. Residents are encouraged to participate in the facility’s social activities, where they can meet other older adults with similar interests. The entire retirement community is welcome to enjoy nutritious meals in the dining room, which are served several times daily.
As a retirement living community, the Village at Keizer Ridge does not offer skilled nursing care to residents. Their services are limited to memory care, personal care, and medication assistance, and their staff may not provide ongoing health care services to residents. As such, the facility may not accept many health insurance policies to pay for services, but long-term care insurance may be a viable payment option. Seniors who are interested in living at the Village at Keizer Ridge should check with their long-term care insurance provider to learn more about which facilities are covered and what options they have to pay for long-term assisted living and memory care.

A loved one moved to VKR in October of 2022 from Bonaventure after [name removed] (who had formerly worked at Bonaventure) convinced him to move. In November, the family discovered that [name removed] had accrued over $[removed] from him in the form of atm withdrawals (during COVID lockdown) and Zell transfers (over $[removed]). They also discovered payment for multiple plane tickets and use of his timeshare with [name removed] name as the guest (Florida, Palm Springs, and Hawaii). He was also on the family's phone plan where it was discovered that he and [name removed] would talk over an hour every day except weekends. Not only was this relationship inapproprite, but preying on an elderly person for money and gifts is unacceptable. After being reported to the state, [name removed] was suspended for only five days and allowed to come back to work at VKR after she returned $[removed] of his money. Upper staff was difficult for the family to work with, even with POA, refusing to give statements for tax purposes without the resident verbally okaying.

Our experience has been really good. There are no concerns about the care and safety, which is most important. The value is good although there is room to improve meals. The rest is whatever the resident makes of it individually. We picked this community because of the location, reputation, value, care, friendly staff and a beautiful property.

Very caring, people oriented staff. They do care about the residents and ensuring they are safe, comfortable and feel at home. They have built a true community with caring staff, outings and activities, special visitors and other events. There is a coffee shop and availability to get a some things from the cafe anytime and a menu of items during meals. They are currently helping me maneuver through some issues with hospice and have even been very helpful with that.
